King Charles Hires Law Professor to Ban Meghan and Harry from Windsor Forever

Buckingham Palace has denied rumors suggesting that King Charles may be compelled to allow Prince Harry to stay at Kensington Palace during his next visit to the UK.

A close friend of the couple, who is based in the United States, has revealed that the King's decision to deny Harry a stay at one of the royal residences due to short notice has caused Meghan and Harry to have differing opinions on whether they want to return to the Duke's home country.

During his recent visit to the UK for the Wellchild Awards in London, Prince Harry reportedly asked if he could stay at Windsor Castle after being informed that his father was still at Balmoral.

However, due to the short notice, the Duke of Sussex was forced to find accommodation at a hotel.

A friend of the Sussexes stated, “Not having anywhere isn't overly helpful.

There are friends and hotels, but I know they'd like to have somewhere.”

The Times reported that Meghan seems to have decided that returning more frequently is not what she wants, whereas Harry would like to have a base in his home country despite the challenges they have faced.

The friend added, “There's work to be done here in terms of the charities, and there'd be opportunities in the future where he'll want to be here a bit more.”

Despite being denied a place to stay by the King, Prince Harry was allowed to visit the late Queen's resting place on September 8th.

Shortly after, he flew to Germany for the 2023 Invictus Games.

This dispute arises amidst alleged tensions surrounding Harry's role as a councillor of state, which positions him as one of seven members of the royal family who could act as a deputy for the King when he is abroad or unwell.

According to the law, councillors of state, including Princess Anne and Prince Edward, must have a home in Britain.

However, as Harry is currently based in California, he does not have a permanent residence in the UK after being evicted from Frogmore Cottage earlier this year.

King Charles' best friend, Charles Wellesley, 9th Duke of Wellington, disclosed that one of the King's first actions as monarch was to hire Dr. John Sorabji, a constitutional law professor, as a deputy private secretary.

Dr. Sorabji, a legal expert who has previously advised prominent figures such as the Lord Chief Justice, was appointed to provide legal guidance to the King on matters concerning councillors of state.

The King also extended lifetime appointments as councillors of state to Princess Anne and Prince Edward, thus expanding the pool of available deputies and ensuring that Harry and Andrew will never be called upon.

The King's representative, acting on his behalf, confirmed his majesty's position and made a request to the government.

The royal household has clarified that, in practice, working members of the royal family will be called upon to act as councillors of state, and arrangements will be made to facilitate this.

This solution was deemed the most efficient and least disruptive way to address the issue.

Additionally, the King has taken measures to safeguard the royal family from attacks by Meghan and Harry by issuing legal declarations to prevent Harry from acquiring a free residence at the palace.

In an attempt to resolve the issue, sources have claimed that royal courtiers have discussed the possibility of leasing a property on a royal estate to Harry and Meghan.

However, the King and Palace announced that in the future, Prince Harry would need to book accommodations at least 28 days in advance if he wishes to stay in a royal residence or visit King Charles while in the UK.

The Duke's office initially contacted the booking and palace departments after confirming his attendance at the London-based awards ceremony and expressed his desire to see his father and stay with him if possible.

However, Harry was informed that he would need to submit a formal request.
