King Charles and Queen Camilla Welcome Guests to Balmoral Castle

King Charles and Queen Camilla have opened the doors of Balmoral Castle to their first guests, marking the start of their summer residence, according to reports.

Among the initial arrivals at the castle were Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, the King's nieces.

Royal Editor Chris Ship from ITV News shared that Princess Eugenie arrived at the Royal Residence in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on Tuesday with her two-year-old son August and baby Ernest.

Princess Beatrice, along with her husband Eduardo Mappalimosi and their family, was also seen at the castle.

Balmoral Castle has long been a private retreat for Queen Elizabeth, who spent her August vacations there with her family.

This year, it will serve as the first summer getaway in Scotland for Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie following the passing of their beloved grandmother.

It is expected that the princesses will be joined by their parents, the Duke of York and Sarah, the Duchess of York.

They were reportedly among the first members of the royal family to arrive at Balmoral Castle this week, where King Charles is hosting extended family members.

The expansive Balmoral estate, spanning 50,000 acres, offers ample space for the princesses and their young families to enjoy a secluded and peaceful break.

In the coming days, the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are also anticipated to join King Charles and Queen Camilla at Balmoral.

With the official arrival of the wider royal family at Balmoral, the summer gathering has commenced.

This visit will also mark the first Balmoral trip for Princess Eugenie's two-month-old son, Ernest.

However, a source from Buckingham Palace has revealed that although the royal family members will be fully engaged in this special family event, pictures of the royal children will not be shared during this time.

Interestingly, it is worth noting that Meghan Markle was not invited to Balmoral due to privacy concerns.

The decision may be related to Meghan's past actions of manipulating and selling photos of royal children for personal gain.

Reports have previously surfaced claiming that Meghan sneaked into Princess Charlotte's room to take pictures.

Consequently, Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack, are cautious about sharing private photos that could potentially be exploited by others, particularly on platforms like Netflix.

Additionally, the Sussexes put Princess Beatrice in an awkward position by releasing pictures of the Queen's cottage.

It is understandable that both Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice would be upset by how Meghan portrayed their grandparents.

The stress caused by these incidents may strain relationships within the family.

While the absence of Queen Elizabeth makes the Balmoral visit bittersweet for the royal family, King Charles received a warm welcome at the castle gates earlier this week, following in his mother's footsteps.
