The Duchess of Cambridge, , has received an outpouring of praise on social media after her recent appearance in a film commemorating the Royal British Legion centenary.

In contrast, and have faced backlash for what some perceive as a PR disaster stunt in the United States.

In the film, Kate starred alongside 10-year-old Cub Scout Emily Edge and 98-year-old Italian war veteran Colonel David Blum OBE.

The purpose of the film was to emphasize the significance of remembering the sacrifices made by fallen soldiers and former army personnel.

From the moment Kate sat down with Colonel Blum and young Emily, royal fans were deeply moved.

A Twitter user, known as Cambridge Royal, urged everyone to watch the full conversation between Kate, Colonel Blum, and Emily, describing it as a beautiful video.

The touching moment that particularly affected Kate was when Colonel Blum shared how he lost a friend in conflict just two days before the war ended.

He revealed that he had written letters to the families of fallen soldiers, expressing his condolences.

Kate asked Colonel Blum if reflecting on his service and the loss of loved ones was meaningful to him during this time of year.

Colonel Blum simply replied, “Yes, very much so.”

As co-president of the Scout Association, Kate was pleasantly surprised to discover how much Emily had learned about remembrance, world conflicts, and life in Britain during those times.

Impressed by Emily's knowledge, Kate praised her for her efforts.

Being an amateur photographer herself, Kate also expressed her eagerness to see some of the photographs brought by Colonel Blum.

During their conversation, Emily asked Colonel Blum why he believed it was important for children to remember.

He responded by saying that they should remember the sacrifices of their parents and grandparents, as failing to do so would result in the loss of those memories.

Later, Emily taught both Kate and Colonel Blum how to make a red remembrance poppy.

The film's release prompted an outpouring of admiration for Kate on social media.

Twitter users expressed their appreciation for her ability to bring out the best in people, her focus on others, and her genuine love and compassion.

The film was part of an initiative spearheaded by Kate to commemorate 100 years of the Royal British Legion.

It aimed to recognize individuals who actively participate in remembrance activities.

The heartfelt conversation took place at the Royal Hospital Chelsea earlier this month and was released on Friday.

As Remembrance Sunday approaches, the Duchess of Cambridge will join other senior members of the royal family at the Festival of Remembrance.
