Kate Middleton Takes Commercial Flight to the Netherlands for Official Trip

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, recently embarked on her first official trip without her husband, Prince William.

She traveled to the Netherlands to carry out various engagements, leaving her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, behind.

The day trip included a visit to King Willem-Alexander, a stop at the Mauritshuis Museum in The Hague to admire some Vermeer paintings, and a roundtable discussion with the charities she supports.

Instead of boarding her private royal jet, she opted for the experience of modern-day commercial air travel.

This decision surprised and delighted passengers on a 7.15pm British Airways flight from the Netherlands.

As she stepped aboard the plane in her pale blue Catherine Walker suit, cell phones immediately went up in a frenzy.

Escorted by her bodyguards and team, Kate took her seat in the front row of the plane.

Throughout the quick 50-minute flight, she engaged in conversation with a member of her team, maintaining a low profile.

Upon landing a few minutes ahead of schedule at London City Airport, she was the first to be escorted off the plane.

A waiting car whisked her away from the tarmac, ensuring she did not have to endure the usual inconveniences of modern-day airports.

While passengers were still disembarking, Kate had already left the airport, evading the attention of onlookers.

Although she may have avoided the typical hassles of commercial air travel, she demonstrated her down-to-earth nature by choosing this mode of transportation.
