Karl Stefanovic Mocks Meghan Markle’s Tears at Queen’s Funeral

In the wake of the Queen's funeral on Monday, Karl Stefanovic, host of the Today show, took a jab at , his least favorite member of the royal family.

Stefanovic made a baseless suggestion that Meghan's tears during the somber service were not genuine.

He expressed his verdict on Meghan's public display of emotion with just one word: apparently.

His co-anchor, Alison Langdon, couldn't help but notice the remark.

The incident took place while Stefanovic and Langdon were interviewing royal photographer Chris Jackson outside Buckingham Palace.

It was around 9:20 pm local time or 6:20 am on Tuesday in eastern Australia.

Stefanovic pointed out that certain photos from the funeral could be open to interpretation, particularly regarding whether certain members of the royal family were shedding tears.

He hinted that the pictures of Meghan wiping away tears might be misleading.

“There have been lots of photos around and interpretations of photos, and reading into photo meanings that may or may not be true,” Stefanovic said.

“There's a couple of Meghan, erm, with a tear running down her face, apparently, and also even one of that everyone was saying she was crying, and we don't know if it was true or not.”

As Stefanovic cast doubt on Meghan's tearful display with the word “apparently,” Langdon smiled nervously and exchanged a knowing look with him.

Meghan was seen weeping as she witnessed II's coffin being carried out of Westminster Abbey in London on Monday.

The emotional moment saw her standing alongside , Queen Consort, Catherine, Princess of Wales, and her children, Prince George and .

Following the circulation of the aforementioned photos and reports, online trolls emphasized that Meghan is an actress who can fake emotions on cue.

They questioned why anyone would believe she genuinely felt distraught about anything involving Harry's family.

Body language expert Adrian Carter, known as The Face Whisperer, criticized the former actress, questioning whether her tears were genuine or simply crocodile tears.

“It's hard to tell if the tears are genuine sadness, but Meghan certainly knows that tears would be spotted and photographed,” Carter said.

“We don't see much muscle movement in Meghan's face in the photo, which would be activated with genuine emotional expressions.”

However, the expert reasoned that Meghan could also be tightly controlling her emotions.

In an interview published by The Examiner on July 13th, 2017, demonstrated her ability to cry on cue.

When asked if she could make herself cry, Meghan enthusiastically responded, “Oh, I can do that so well.

Oh my god, it's crazy.

They're like, ‘Meghan, one tear, left eye, go.'”

She revealed that it takes her only three seconds to shed the first tear.

On the other side of the spectrum, Sophie Wessex, the Queen's favorite daughter-in-law, and her husband were visibly emotional during the state funeral.

Both appeared distraught and shed tears as they watched the Queen's coffin during the ceremony.

Sophie, struggling to contain her emotions, was seen wiping away tears as she drove away from the funeral service.

The Queen's grandchildren, Lady Louise Windsor and James Viscount Severn, also attended the funeral, displaying a maturity far beyond their years as they joined their older cousins in mourning since the Queen's passing at Balmoral in September.
