Is Prince Harry Ready to Propose to Meghan Markle?
Speculation is swirling that Prince Harry, the fifth in line to the British throne, is preparing to propose to American actress Meghan Markle.
The couple, who confirmed their romance in November last year, have been dating since then and appear to be smitten with each other.
However, even if they do decide to tie the knot, Meghan will not be allowed to be known as Princess Meghan due to strict royal protocol.
According to royal traditions, only those of royal blood can use the title of Prince or Princess followed by their first name.
This means that Meghan would face the same rules that have left Kate Middleton, the wife of Harry's brother William, without the title of Princess.
However, it is highly likely that if Meghan and Harry do get married, they will be granted a dukedom.
One possible title for the couple could be the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
This would be similar to William and Kate, who are officially known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Other potential titles up for grabs include the Duke and Duchess of Clarendon and Buckingham.
It remains to be seen which title the couple will choose if they decide to settle down.
Currently, Meghan and Harry are enjoying a surprise African safari, officially celebrating her 36th birthday.
However, friends of the couple have hinted that an engagement may be on the horizon.
While nothing has been confirmed yet, the pair's romantic getaway has fueled further speculation.
