The 91st Hollywood Christmas Parade, a beloved annual event, is set to kick off at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The Hollywood Christmas Parade is a cherished tradition that draws in more than 5,000 participants, including over 90 celebrities and VIPs, 14 pre-parade and parade performers, 10 bands, six towering character balloons, three floats, 39 movie cars, and eight novelty vehicles.
The parade culminates with a special appearance by Santa Claus and his reindeer.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass will be among the esteemed guests taking part in the festivities.
Joining her will be dancer-singer Paula Abdul, country singer Dwight Yoakam, radio host Cree Kasem, pop duo Alien A.J., and a host of talented actors such as Chris Cadden, Greg Robinson, Ernie Hudson, Brandon Roth, Mingwen, Denise Richards, and Tatina Ali.
The parade route stretches over 3.2 miles in a U-shaped pattern, starting at Orange Street and Hollywood Boulevard.
From there, it travels east on Hollywood Boulevard to Vine Street, then south on Vine Street to Sunset Boulevard, and finally west on Sunset, back to Orange.
Aside from the glitz and glamour, the Hollywood Christmas Parade holds a deeper meaning.
It serves as a platform to support charitable causes, most notably the Marine Toys for Tots program.
Each year, the parade highlights the importance of giving during the holiday season, showcasing various organizations and charities that aid underprivileged individuals.
