HIV-Positive Mothers Uncomfortable as Meghan Markle Encourages Sitting on the Floor

, the Duchess of Sussex, found herself in an awkward situation as she attempted to create a more relaxed atmosphere at a mother and baby clinic in Cape Town.

The event aimed to raise awareness about eliminating AIDS in children.

However, it seemed that Meghan's actions left some HIV-positive mothers feeling uncomfortable and disrespected.

Although Meghan did not bring her son to the event, it was clear that he was on her mind.

She decided to sit on the floor and play with a child, stating, “I just think if were here with all those toys on the floor and I made him sit in the chair it would be so unfair.”

In an effort to encourage others to join her, she crossed her legs and invited mothers and clinic workers to sit on the floor as well.

However, no one followed suit.

Behind the scenes, there were reports of Meghan displaying negative expressions towards the black mothers present.

She kept her distance from them and appeared uninterested in engaging with them.

Witnesses observed her frowning, pouting, and at times even covering her nose.

This behavior left social volunteers concerned that Meghan's actions would affect the mood of the mothers involved.

The discomfort felt by these mothers may explain their lack of cooperation during the official interaction video.

It is puzzling why Meghan chose to involve herself in playing with toys on the floor when Archie was not even present.

The women seemed much more at ease in their chairs.

It is disrespectful to expect people to get down on the floor for no apparent reason, especially when they have dressed up for the occasion.

There may even be racial undertones to Meghan's actions, suggesting that she believes Africans should be happier and more comfortable sitting on the floor.

It is unclear what goes on in her mind and how she justifies her behavior.

Furthermore, Meghan did not consider the health conditions of these mothers, who, like her, were new mothers.

Stress incontinence, back problems, joint issues, mobility concerns, and the risk of infection due to their HIV-positive status were all valid factors to consider.

One mother explicitly stated that sitting on the floor was not possible for her, yet initially, no one paid attention to her request.

For pregnant women, sitting on the floor and getting back up can be physically challenging, particularly as the pregnancy progresses.

It is unreasonable to expect pregnant women to engage in such activities, especially without proper support or comfort.

In addition to her actions, Meghan brought some of Archie's clothes to the event, intending to donate them to the group.

While this may have seemed like a kind gesture, it is likely that the HIV-positive mothers felt shocked and perhaps even insulted by the idea that Meghan was discarding her son's unwanted clothes by giving them to them.

The entire incident raises questions about Meghan's understanding and consideration of the diverse circumstances and needs of those around her.

It is vital to approach such events with empathy and respect, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and included.

In this case, Meghan's attempt to create a more informal atmosphere had unintended consequences, leaving some mothers feeling uncomfortable and disrespected.
