Harry Reveals Introduction to Privacy and Defamation Specialist by Elton John and David Furnish

Prince Harry has recently disclosed that he was introduced to David Sherborne, a renowned privacy and defamation specialist, by Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish.

This introduction took place during a holiday that Harry and Meghan had enjoyed with the couple in France.

When asked about when he first approached solicitors regarding a claim against the publisher, Harry suggested that it had actually been Mr. Sherborne's idea.

“I didn't go to them, I bumped into Mr. Sherborne in France,” Harry stated, emphasizing that this information can be found in his memoir, Spare.

In his memoir, Harry also revealed that he and Meghan felt empowered and courageous following a highly successful tour of South Africa in September 2019.

It was during this time that they decided to take a stand against the disgraceful conduct and long-standing practice of phone hacking by three British tabloids.

They announced their intention to sue these tabloids for their unethical behavior.

Additionally, it was revealed that Elton's partner, David, expressed interest in collaborating with Meghan on a Netflix animation project called Pearl.

However, shortly after this announcement, Netflix dropped the project, citing budget cuts, which raises questions about the sincerity of Elton and David's involvement.

Elton himself settled a phone hacking claim against News Group Newspapers, publisher of The Sun, in 2019.

Currently, he is part of a joint claim brought by Harry and others, represented by Mr. Sherborne, over alleged unlawful information gathering at Associated Newspapers Ltd.
