Harry Receives Heartwarming Update on Children During Well Child Awards Video Call

Prince Harry, while speaking to the winners of the Well Child Awards through a video call from his California mansion, received a rare update on his children, Archie and Lilibet.

Originally scheduled to attend the awards ceremony in person in London, the Sussexes had to change their plans due to Queen Elizabeth's deteriorating health.

The Well Child Awards were established to honor ill children in the United States.

During the video call, Prince Harry had a conversation with four-year-old Henry Wayans, who won the Inspirational Child Award.

Henry, who spent the first 15 months of his life in the hospital, assured Prince Harry that it was alright that he couldn't attend the awards ceremony.

Prince Harry responded affectionately, saying, “You sound just like my son, Archie, with that little squeaky voice.

I love it.”

The young boy even managed to trick the Duke with a knock-knock joke and inquired about Archie and Lilibet.

Prince Harry shared that Archie is very busy, while Lilibet is learning to use her voice, which he found great.

Another award winner, Isabelle Delancey, who was recognized as the inspirational young person for children aged between 12 and 14, also had a conversation with Prince Harry.

During their chat, Isabelle's assistant's dog in training made an appearance on the video call.

Prince Harry jokingly mentioned that having dogs around helps to keep everyone calm, revealing that he has three dogs in his house – a black Labrador named Pula, a rescue beagle called Guy, and another rescue beagle named Mia.

He humorously added that with the dogs, it's like having five children, as they often chase squirrels and cause all sorts of daily mischief.

However, he emphasized that they also serve as emotional support dogs when they behave.

While the video call brought joy to many, some royal fans expressed their disappointment.

One commenter, Paula Biancora, criticized Prince Harry for making surprise video calls to other parents' children instead of showing his own two children, who are currently sixth and seventh in line to the throne.

Another commenter questioned the way Prince Harry described Lilibet learning to use her voice, referring to it as a foolish way to describe baby talk.

Some even speculated about the absence of Meghan, suggesting that Prince Harry appears happier without her presence.

In a column for The Sun, Tony Parsons highlighted the contrasting paths of Prince William and Prince Harry, stating that the Sussexes now need the royal family more than the royals need them.

Parsons noted that the brothers, who were once inseparable, have diverged in their lives and national consciousness.

While Prince Harry must ensure the satisfaction of his American paymasters at Netflix, Spotify, and other platforms, Prince William's destiny is leading him towards the crown.
