Harry and Meghan Shine at Star-Studded Charity Event in Santa Barbara
Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, stole the spotlight at the glamorous 1805 Live charity event held in Santa Barbara on Friday.
Fresh from their trip to the Invictus Games in Germany, the couple seemed right at home as they mingled with fellow A-listers such as Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres.
The fundraiser took place at the magnificent $26 million estate owned by Kevin Costner.
Notable guests included Katy Perry's parents and the popular band Maroon 5, who treated everyone to an electrifying live performance.
Tickets for the general admission to 1805 Live were priced at $350, while a table of last-minute tickets was available for a whopping $12,000.
The event successfully raised funds for first responder agencies in Santa Barbara County.
However, the question on everyone's mind is: why were Harry and Meghan invited?
Were they simply guests of another guest?
Did they purchase the expensive tickets?
And what role did Arsewell play in the charity?
It turns out that the couple's presence at the event was orchestrated by WME (William Morris Endeavor), the talent agency that now represents Kevin Costner.
As part of a strategic move, WME included Harry and Meghan as last-minute additions to the guest list.
It is speculated that either WME or Arsewell, the Duchess's stylist, bought the table, allowing them to invite their close friend Grid as a guest since they reside in the area and wanted to support the local firehouse.
Contrary to popular belief, Harry and Meghan did not pay for their tickets.
Instead, they requested them as a favor.
WME had purchased a set number of tables and needed to fill them, so they extended the invitation to the royal couple.
Although Kevin Costner seemed obliged to go along with this arrangement, he made it clear that he did not endorse their presence by accepting a rather trivial award from Meghan and promptly diverting attention away from them.
It was a total boss move on his part.
In an attempt to upstage the event, Harry and Meghan tried to steal the limelight by barging in.
However, Kevin Costner skillfully ignored them and steered the conversation back to the primary focus of the evening – honoring the first responders.
It is evident that the couple was not specifically sought out for an invitation; they were merely guests of WME due to client manipulation.
As for the $12,000 tickets, it is unlikely that Harry and Meghan paid for them unless they were able to write it off as a donation through Arsewell.
It is important to note that Arsewell's involvement in the charity seems to revolve around her own interests, specifically her fashion choices.
Meghan was not selected to play a significant role at the event; instead, she dragged along Prince Harry, who had a residual influence, to present Kevin Costner with an award.
Perhaps Meghan envisioned herself as the leading lady in a Bodyguard sequel, dreaming of becoming the next Mrs. Costner.
Regarding the award presentation, 1805 Live did not make a fuss over the royal duo.
They simply handed over a small ceramic heart-shaped bowl and that was the extent of their involvement.
