Earl Spencer’s Instagram Post Reveals Striking Resemblance Between Late Father and Prince George

On what would have been his 99th birthday, Earl Spencer, the current head of the Spencer family, took to Instagram to share a photo of his late father, John, the 8th Earl Spencer.

This black-and-white image caught the attention of royal admirers who were quick to notice the uncanny resemblance between John and a young member of the royal family, Prince George, the eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Earl Spencer, also known as Charles Spencer, aged 58, celebrated his late father’s birthday on social media.

He currently resides in Althorpe House, located in Northamptonshire.

The shared photograph portrays John as a 16-year-old cadet, taken in 1940 when he was arrested.

Earl Spencer tweeted on Twitter, expressing, “An image of my father, as a 16-year-old cadet, in 1940, on the occasion of his 99th birthday.”

He further mentioned that his father would later be recognized for his commendable service as a tank commander during the invasion of Normandy, four years after the photograph was taken.

The photo was captured outside Althorpe House, which, at the time, was covered in abundant ivy.

Earl Spencer’s post garnered attention from royal enthusiasts, with one admirer commenting, “Yes, Prince George is a full-blooded Spencer.”

Another Twitter user added, “In your family, the masculine genes are highly dominant.

It seems like you and young Prince George have a lot in common, and this photo proves it.”

A third individual simply wrote, “Prince George.

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

In addition to honoring his late father, Earl Spencer also shared a picture of his late mother, Frances Shand Kidd, on Friday.

The image showcased a painting commemorating her 87th birthday.
