Duke of Edinburgh Takes Over Top Role in Trooping the Colour, Leaving Harry Behind

Prince Edward is set to make history at the King's birthday parade this Saturday, as he takes part in the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

This event has been celebrated for over 200 years and is a significant occasion for the royal family.

During the parade, King Charles will ride on horseback, a momentous occasion as it has been over three decades since a monarch has done so.

Joining him in this milestone decision will be his younger brother, Prince Edward.

The Duke of Edinburgh will be supporting his older brother during the first Trooping the Colour of the new reign, marking a personal first for him as he participates in the monarch's public birthday celebrations on horseback.

The palace has confirmed that Prince Edward will be part of the procession on horseback, fulfilling his role as Colonel of the London Guards, the army reserve battalion of the Guards Division.

This new battalion was established as a result of military reforms in May 2022.

It is worth noting that this is the first time Prince Edward has played such an important role with the monarch in Trooping the Colour since becoming the Duke of Edinburgh.

Royal experts suggest that Edward's increasing involvement in such events indicates a gradual replacement of Prince Harry within the monarchy.

Had Megxit not occurred, the King's youngest son would have also been in the spotlight during the parade.

However, sources have reported that Meghan and Harry were not invited to the event, which has a long-standing tradition dating back to the 1700s.

The last time Harry attended a Trooping the Colour was at the coronation, and Meghan's last invitation was for the Queen's funeral.

The strained relationship between the Sussexes and the King has worsened over time, filled with verbal attacks and lies.

Their presence at the parade would likely dampen the occasion and anger a significant portion of the nation.

Meghan's absence at the coronation led to speculation about whether she had been denied permission to enter the country, similar to the Duke of Windsor's situation.

The announcement of their decision to stay in America may have been a public acknowledgment that access would not be granted.

It appears that the royal family is done with Meghan and growing tired of Harry as well.

According to Harry, everyone present was in a good mood until Meghan made a joke about the event to Kate.

When Catherine asked Meghan for her thoughts on her first Trooping the Colour, Meghan jokingly replied, “colorful.”

This seemingly innocent comment resulted in an uncomfortable silence that engulfed the gathering.

Trooping the Colour is an annual birthday parade for the British Sovereign.

While King Charles's actual birthday is on November 14th, when he has a more private celebration, he has been attending this event since childhood.

Initially, he attended on behalf of his grandfather, King George VI, and later for his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Prince William will also be present at the parade, accompanied by Princess Catherine and their family.
