Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s 2021 Christmas Card Revealed, Fans in Awe of Princess Charlotte’s Resemblance to Queen
Fans of the British Royal Family are overjoyed as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released their 2021 Christmas card this week.
The heartwarming snapshot features the entire family, gathered together and smiling for the camera.
Taken during a private vacation to Jordan a few months ago, the photograph was shared on the Cambridge's social media account on Friday with the caption, “Delighted to share a new image of the family, which features on this year's Christmas card.”
In contrast to previous years' Christmas cards, the Cambridges opted for a summer-themed ensemble, yet still managed to coordinate their outfits perfectly, as they always do for their family portraits.
Catherine looked effortlessly stylish in an olive green dress, while William went for a smart casual look with a polo shirt and shorts.
Their three children, George (8), Charlotte (6), and Louis (3), beamed for the camera, dressed appropriately in summer attire.
While the photograph is undeniably sweet, the focus of conversation has been on how grown-up and beautiful Princess Charlotte looks, as well as her striking resemblance to Queen Elizabeth.
The six-year-old princess donned a blue gingham printed dress for the shoot and appeared natural in front of the camera, with her hands crossed in front of her and her long hair swept to the side.
Social media was abuzz with comments about her resemblance to her great-grandmother, with one person writing on Twitter, “What a handsome family!
You can really see Queen Elizabeth in Princess Charlotte.”
Another follower commented, “Charlotte is such a cute princess.
She is the mini version of the Queen,” while another added, “Charlotte is the image of the Queen.
Adorable!”
Many commentators also praised the little princess for her beauty, with remarks such as, “Princess Charlotte is such a beauty” and “Charlotte is so beautiful.”
One user couldn't help but notice Charlotte's radiant hair, comparing it to Rapunzel's.
The Queen shares a close bond with her grandson Prince William and his wife Catherine, regularly spending time with her great-grandchildren.
During a recent engagement at Windsor Castle, the monarch inadvertently revealed a previously unseen photograph of her great-grandchildren.
The frame could be seen behind the Queen next to her signature black handbag on a console table.
The picture appears to show Her Majesty and her late husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, posing with five of their great-grandchildren.
Princess Charlotte seems to be sitting on her great-grandmother's lap, while her older brother, Prince George, stands behind the sofa wearing a navy-collared jumper.
Savannah, the eldest daughter of Peter and Autumn Philip, stands beside her great-grandfather in a mauve-colored dress, while younger sister Isla is at the opposite end.
Mia, the eldest daughter of Mike and Zara Tindall, sits in the middle wearing a navy-collared dress.
Based on the ages of the children in the photograph, it is believed to have been taken before 2018, as Prince Louis and Lena Tindall do not appear to be present.
