Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Join Earl and Countess of Wessex at Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Catherine, were seen exchanging warm greetings with the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Prince Edward and Sophie, during their attendance at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The royal couple, accompanied by their daughter Princess Charlotte, enjoyed cheering for the swimmers at the Sandwell Aquatic Centre on Tuesday afternoon.
As they made their way to their seats in the stands, the Cambridges were delighted to be reunited with the Wessex family.
Catherine appeared elated as she greeted each member of the family with a double kiss on the cheek.
William also took the opportunity to greet his aunt, uncle, and young cousins, walking behind Catherine as she embraced them.
Lady Louise Windsor, the Queen's youngest granddaughter, and her mother were particularly pleased to see their cousin Catherine, and their joy was evident as they beamed with happiness.
During this appearance, Lady Louise, 18, caught the attention of many with her stylish outfit.
She looked impressive in a white shirt, floral skirt, and tan leather handbag as she warmly greeted the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William.
Catherine, on the other hand, looked effortlessly elegant in her brunette tresses, styled down and in curls.
She greeted James, Vice Count Seven, 14, Sophie Wessex, 57, Lady Louise Windsor, and Prince Edward, 58.
Catherine sat with her daughter, wearing an old favorite chic white suit from Alexander McQueen.
She had previously worn the ensemble during her and Prince William's Caribbean tour in Jamaica in March, as well as during engagements to mark Windrush Day in London.
Princess Charlotte, 7, joined her parents at the event, looking adorable in a black-and-white striped dress with a white-filled collar from Rachel Riley.
She completed her look with white sandals and wore her hair in pigtails.
Seated just in front of the Wessexes with her father, she seemed to be squinting her eyes to catch a glimpse of something on the big screen.
Meanwhile, Catherine engaged in conversation with an official at the event.
The Duke and Duchess, along with Princess Charlotte, sat in front of the Wessexes to watch the men's 1,500-meter freestyle swimming race on the fifth day of the Commonwealth Games.
