Duchess of Sussex Stuns in Naval-Themed Dress at Weekend Barbecue

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, made a stylish appearance at a weekend barbecue alongside her husband, Prince Harry.

Donning a naval-themed dress designed by Amelia Wickstead, a favorite designer of Kate Middleton, Meghan showed her support for Prince Harry and his polo team, Los Padres, at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club.

The couple's close friend, Delfina Blackear, who is married to Prince Harry's polo teammate Nacho Figueras, shared a photo of the family on her Instagram page.

In the snapshot, Meghan can be seen wearing a sleeveless, fit-and-flare dress by Amelia Wickstead, priced at £995.

The dress features a navy-themed print and falls just above the ankle.

Described online as a light blue midi dress with a navel-themed print, the dress boasts a signature silhouette with a high-neck and fitted bodice that flares into an A-line skirt, complete with concealed pockets.

In the photograph, Meghan had her long black hair swept up into a ponytail and appeared to be barefoot in the grass.

Prince Harry, also barefoot in the snap, stood beside her wearing a white polo shirt and green cargo shorts.

Their son Archie, who turned three this year, was captured in the background, wearing a white shirt and showcasing his mop of brown hair.

This appearance comes as the couple prepares for their first trip to the UK with their children, Archie and Lilibet.

However, in other news, Meghan Markle's estranged half-sister, Samantha Markle, provided an update on their father's health during an interview with Good Morning Britain.

Samantha confirmed that Meghan has made no attempt to reach out to their father, Thomas Markle, which she finds ridiculous.

Samantha stated that Thomas' contact details remain the same, and although he can't speak, his language comprehension is perfect.

She emphasized that Meghan could easily text or contact him, but has chosen not to.

Samantha expressed her disbelief at the idea of disowning one's father over opportunistic photography, especially when Meghan and Harry themselves have been photographed extensively.

Thomas Markle was admitted to the hospital following a stroke last week.

Royal biographer Tom Bower previously revealed that Meghan and her father had not been in contact since just before the wedding in 2018.

Thomas did not attend Meghan and Harry's royal wedding.

During an appearance on GB News, royal expert Rafe Hadelmancou highlighted Meghan's previous close relationship with her father and credited him with raising her.

Samantha provided an update on Thomas' condition, stating that he is doing well but has a long road to recovery ahead.

She mentioned that it may take six months to a year for him to regain his ability to speak.

Last month, Thomas expressed his plans to fly to the UK in June to join the celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

He hoped to reunite with Meghan and meet his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, for the first time.
