Duchess of Cornwall Reveals She Will Miss Out on Wearing Queen’s Magnificent Jewellery

In a surprising revelation, the Duchess of Cornwall has shared that there is one thing she will never do, which means she may never have the chance to enjoy some of the royal family's stunning jewellery pieces.

While Camilla Parker Bowles has always been an important member of the extended royal family since marrying Prince Charles in 2005, her significance to the monarchy's future was emphasized earlier this year.

On her ascension day, the Queen released a heartfelt message expressing her sincere wish for Camilla to become Queen Consort when Prince Charles ascends the throne.

This announcement showcased their strong bond, and Duchess Camilla later described the news of becoming Queen Consort as a great honor.

However, it appears that going forward, she will continue to miss out on the opportunity to wear some of Queen Elizabeth's most magnificent royal jewellery pieces on loan.

Throughout the years, Duchess Camilla has been known to love wearing one of Queen Elizabeth's tiaras, specifically the Greville Tiara.

Additionally, she has had the privilege of borrowing some of the Queen's exquisite brooches for special occasions, such as the Queen Mother's rock crystal brooch for the state opening of Parliament last year.

However, when it comes to the fabulous royal earrings, it seems that Duchess Camilla may miss out simply because her ears are not pierced.

In an interview with British Vogue ahead of her 75th birthday on July 17, Duchess Camilla revealed that despite her grandchildren's attempts to persuade her otherwise, she is determined to keep her ears unpierced.

When asked about the possibility of getting them pierced, she firmly responded, “And they are not going to be.

No, I'm not going to give it to myself for a 75th birthday present.

The grandchildren will try to persuade me, but nothing's going to pierce my ears.”

It is widely known that the Duchess has never had her ears pierced, although she has been seen wearing earrings for royal engagements.

It remains unclear whether these earrings were fastened differently or modified to accommodate her unpierced ears.

With her resolute decision, it seems that Duchess Camilla will continue to miss out on the opportunity to wear some of the Queen's breathtaking earrings.

In contrast, Duchess Camilla's stepdaughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, has had the privilege of donning several pairs of the Queen's earrings on significant occasions.

At Prince Philip's funeral last year, the Duchess of Cambridge paid a subtle tribute to the Queen by wearing the Bahrain diamond and pearl drop earrings, which were believed to be a gift from the Queen to mark her marriage to Prince Philip.

More recently, at a service of Thanksgiving during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Kate wore the same diamond and pearl earrings.

Additionally, she reportedly chose floral earrings from the Queen's collection for the Platinum Pageant.

Although Duchess Camilla may sadly never have the opportunity to wear these beautiful pieces, it is comforting to know that the Queen's jewellery is still being enjoyed by her closest family members.
