Duchess of Cambridge Visits Holocaust Exhibition, Prince Harry Honors Veterans at Gala

To commemorate Remembrance Day, the Duchess of Cambridge made a meaningful visit to the Generations Portraits of the Holocaust exhibition yesterday.

The exhibition showcases 50 photographic portraits of Holocaust survivors and their families, including two images taken by the Duchess herself.

This experience brought back numerous memories of the incredible people Kate has encountered in recent years.

Meanwhile, and his wife marked this poignant event in a distinct manner in the United States.

They attended the Intrepid Museum's Salute to Freedom Gala, where presented Intrepid Valour awards to five service members, veterans, and military families living with invisible wounds of war.

As the palace had stripped him of the right to wear military uniform, Prince Harry wore a medal rack on his tuxedo to honor the veterans at the New York event.

Meghan, on the other hand, wore a stunning red Carolina Herrera dress with matching red shoes, complementing her high-slit fashion choice.

Her long locks were elegantly styled in a high bun.

However, some readers found Meghan's dress to be completely irrelevant and inappropriate for the occasion.

One reader expressed, “It's a terrible thing when a red dress overshadows the Holocaust visit by true royalty simply because of who is wearing it, especially when the dress is worn to try to upstage a future Queen consort.”

Another added, “The outfit should show some class and decorum.

Nothing should be on display; shoulders and arms should be covered.

That dress just shows how inappropriate it is for her to still have a title.”

The third reader agreed, stating, “It shows a lack of respect and makes it all about her, as usual.

It's amazing how she can make mouth-wateringly expensive designer clothes look tacky and cheap.”

The fourth reader pointed out that Meghan's attempt to upstage Kate failed, as the focus should have been on the veterans rather than the dress.

While Kate's dress was deemed appropriate for the occasion, Harry was unable to wear a military uniform, as he is no longer allowed since leaving the UK for the United States.

Instead, he opted for a civilian outfit consisting of a navy jacket and trousers.

During the event held on a converted warship in New York, Harry engaged in conversations with former soldiers.

The event takes place before Veterans Day in the US and Remembrance Day in the UK.

As a special guest, Harry will present medals for the intrepid valour awards to five service members, veterans, and military families who are living with the invisible wounds of war.

During the event, Meghan was asked if she was proud of Harry, to which she immediately replied, “I'm always proud of him.”

When Harry was asked about his grandmother, Meghan smiled and nodded, indicating that II was doing well after her recent health scares.

Harry proceeded to give a speech, where he humorously mentioned that he was now living the American dream.

He expressed his gratitude for being back on USS Intrepid, mentioning the changes that have occurred since his last visit a decade ago.

He even shared a lighthearted anecdote about riding the Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile, emphasizing his appreciation for the support shown to those who defend their country.

The Intrepid Museum pays tribute to individuals in the military who have dedicated themselves to defending their countries.

Harry acknowledged the remarkable and deeply respected support that both Americans and Brits demonstrate for their armed forces.

He highlighted the special bond shared by the armed forces communities in both nations and expressed his gratitude for having served in support of their joint leadership for many years.
