Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William to Attend Top Gun, Maverick Premiere in London

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and are set to attend the London premiere of the highly anticipated film, Top Gun: Maverick, next week.

The royal couple will join the stars of the big screen at the Leicester Square Paramount Pictures premiere, in collaboration with the Film and TV Charity.

This organization is dedicated to supporting the behind-the-scenes workers in the UK's television and cinema industry.

Upon their arrival, Catherine and will be greeted by the Lord Lieutenant and the CEO of the charity.

They will then make their way down the red carpet, where they will have the opportunity to meet the film's lead actors, Tom Cruise and Miles Teller.

Additionally, the Duke and Duchess will engage in conversations with film executives, including director Joe Krasinski.

Before entering the theater to watch the movie, they will be presented with programs and posies.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the Montecito couple, and Meghan, will not be attending the premiere.

While they were previously excluded from the Jubilee balcony, Tom Cruise will be leading an A-list cast in celebrating II's Platinum Jubilee on UK broadcaster ITV.

The live broadcast, titled “The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebration,” will be hosted by Philip Schofield and Julie Etchingham.

The star-studded event will feature guests such as Jo Ando, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Anton Deck, Joan Collins, Mo Farah, Maureen Lippman, David Jason, Alan Titchmarsh, Kelly Holmes, Moira Stewart, and Trevor MacDonald.

Special performances by Keala Settle, Gregory Porter, and Catherine Jenkins will pay tribute to the Queen's remarkable 70 years of service.

The celebration will include a theatrical arena event with 1,300 performers and 500 horses.

Divided into four acts, each act will be overseen by a different event host: Tom Cruise, Damien Lewis, Jo Ando, and Alan Titchmarsh, respectively.

The event aims to take viewers on a captivating journey through history, from the reign of I to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, culminating in a grand finale.

According to royal expert Hugo Vickers, and 's decision not to attend the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations is primarily driven by their branding strategy.

Vickers stated in an interview with True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat, “I think it's entirely to do with branding because the further away that he, Harry, gets from the royal family, he turns into a guy in blue jeans, with a ginger beard, coming off a plane with a backpack on.

Which isn't very marketable in my point of view.”

On the other hand, Russell Myers, Royal Editor of The Mirror, believes that the Sussexes would have desired to be present on the balcony, as it is crucial for them to maintain their royal image.

Myers emphasized, “There is an argument to say that they still need to be seen as royal.

This is one of the biggest events of the generation, and they need to stay relevant.

They're not having a great time at the moment.

There is pressure from Netflix, who have dropped Meghan's debut show Pearl, and, I think they are potentially struggling to stay relevant.”

Furthermore, Angela Levin accused Prince Harry and of attempting to overshadow the Platinum Jubilee weekend.

The Royal Biographer expressed her concerns on GB News, stating, “This notice confirms my idea that they had an ulterior motive in coming.

They want to come because they want to make it up to Netflix and get loads more money.

They can make sure they are thought of as royals and Netflix will come over and take snaps of them all the time.”

Levin continued, “Harry may go and make some more money by going to talk to some US TV station perhaps and saying all the things everyone said to him over here.

I find it all unbelievable and so despairing.
