Director Christopher Nolan Roasts Meghan Markle’s Ambition to Become a Bond Girl in James Bond 26

, the Duchess of Sussex, had her hopes dashed when she became engaged to and had to withdraw from the race to become the next Bond girl.

However, it seems that Meghan is eager to make a comeback and secure a role in James Bond 26.

While the official announcement for the 26th film in the iconic James Bond series has not been made, it is inevitable that the release will happen, much like 007's preference for a shaken, not stirred martini.

MGM, the co-owner of the Bond franchise, was acquired by Amazon in 2022, and fans were reassured by longtime 007 producer Michael G. Wilson that the character will return.

“It's a whole new world,” he said in 2022.

“We've got to see what happens with Amazon, but they'll always be a Bond.”

There has been widespread speculation about who will direct the next James Bond film, with Christopher Nolan's name frequently mentioned.

The acclaimed director, known for his work on films like “Inception” and “The Dark Knight” trilogy, is a self-professed fan of the 007 franchise.

Rumors have circulated about talks between Nolan and producers regarding him helming the reboot.

If Nolan were to take on the role, it is possible that he would cast one of his regular collaborators, such as Cillian Murphy, who won a Golden Globe and is also tipped for an Oscar win this year for his role in “Oppenheimer.”

Interestingly, Coral Bookmakers have slashed the odds on Cillian Murphy becoming the next James Bond from 12 to 1 to 6 to 1.

John Hill from Coral explained that Murphy's strong performance in “Oppenheimer” has garnered attention and support for him to replace Daniel Craig as Bond.

While the focus has been on the potential next James Bond, there has also been speculation about who will be the next Bond girl.

Rumors suggest that is vying for the role when she decides to return to acting.

According to a source, Meghan believes she would be the perfect fit as a black woman for this position.

However, a source close to Christopher Nolan dismissed Meghan's suitability for the role, citing her age and acting skills as factors that don't align with the characteristics of a Bond girl.

Considering the timeline of previous Bond films, it seems unlikely that Meghan would have been considered for a role back in 2016 when “No Time To Die” was being developed.

The lead female role in that film was played by Lea Seydoux, continuing the story arc from the previous installment in 2015.

It is doubtful that Meghan would have been shortlisted at that time, as the Bond films tend to evolve rather than adhere strictly to a predetermined script.

Moreover, the qualities typically associated with Bond girls do not align with Meghan's persona.

She is seen as too earnest, lacking the humor and allure that are expected from these characters.

A Bond girl should be captivating and alluring, not someone who lectures Bond about the UK's colonial past or chastises Q for inventions that contribute to global warming.

In essence, Meghan does not possess the physical attributes or the persona that would make her a suitable Bond girl.
