Controversy Surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s New Website

and are facing criticism for their desire to bask in the glory of the royal name without putting in the necessary effort.

The couple recently unveiled their new website, Sussex.com, a move that has stirred up quite a bit of controversy, primarily due to their insistence on retaining the Sussex branding.

This new site has replaced their previous Archibald page and was discreetly launched this week, causing quite a commotion among the public.

Upon visiting the homepage of Sussex.com, visitors are greeted with a glimpse into the world of and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The royal crest adorns the page, alongside an image of the couple captured at the 2023 Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, a snapshot that also graced their Christmas card last year.

Delving further into the website, the ‘about' section sheds more light on the couple's endeavors.

The office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, is depicted as a hub for driving change through business and philanthropy.

Their involvement spans various entities such as the Archibald Foundation, Archibald Productions, Patronages, Ventures, and Organizations, all of which have received the support of the couple, both individually and collectively.

However, the decision to utilize the Sussex branding has sparked a debate, with opinions sharply divided on its appropriateness, extending even to the residents of Sussex itself.

Local voices from Sussex have weighed in on the matter, with individuals like David Abrams, 83, expressing disappointment over the couple's actions.

In a statement to Mail Online, Abrams criticized their perceived lack of substantial contribution, stating, “I don't support them at all.

It isn't very good what they've done.

They've cashed in in many ways without doing much to help.”

Similarly, another resident, Diane Smith, 91, echoed these sentiments, condemning their pursuit of the royal allure without putting in the required work.

A particularly colorful response came from a resident inviting to inspect a collection of rotten eggs, emphasizing the potential hostile reception the couple might face should they venture into Sussex.

Meanwhile, a royal expert speculated on how the late II would have reacted to Harry and Meghan's rebranding efforts, suggesting that she would have been displeased by their decisions.

The expert, Ingrid Seward, highlighted the Queen's initial optimism towards Harry and Meghan's role within the Commonwealth, viewing them as a promising duo to uphold her father's legacy.

However, the couple's subsequent departure from the UK in 2020 shattered these hopes, leading to tensions regarding their royal obligations and desired lifestyle.

Despite the Queen's admiration for Meghan's attributes, the couple's desire to step back from their duties was met with firm resistance.

's stance against allowing the Sussexes to capitalize on their royal ties for personal gain led to the prohibition of their original website, Sussexroyal.com, and their HRH titles.

The couple's workaround by launching Sussex.com with a subtle nod to Sussex Royal was seen as a betrayal of the Queen's directives, causing further dismay.

The expert lamented the missed opportunities the couple had to align with the monarchy's expectations, hinting at a sense of loss for what could have been a harmonious relationship.
