Comedian Shultz Takes a Jab at Harry and Meghan, Asserting His Royal Status in Montecito
In a recent Instagram post, comedian Andrew Shultz couldn't resist cracking a few jokes at the expense of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Known for his humorous antics, Shultz took the opportunity to celebrate his marriage to food blogger Emma Turner with a playful jab at the royal couple.
The couple tied the knot in the upscale town of Montecito, California, which also happens to be the home of the Sussexes.
In his Instagram caption, Shultz wrote, “Harry and Meghan, your time in the spotlight is done.
Montecito isn't big enough for two power couples living off the generosity of their in-laws.”
It seems that Shultz had a bigger motive behind dragging the Sussexes into his jokes – he wanted to establish himself and his wife as the new royals of Montecito.
Shultz's Instagram photo featured a wedding picture of his wife, Emma Turner, which managed to dethrone Harry and Meghan from the top spot of the most tagged Montecito photos.
While this may not seem significant to some, it was enough for Shultz to revel in his newfound status.
This isn't the first time Shultz has taken a swipe at the British royal family.
In January 2023, he boldly proclaimed that no one cared about Prince Harry and his controversial tell-all book, Spare.
In a lighthearted manner, Shultz expressed his indifference towards the couple, stating, “Yo yo, let me tell you all something.
I mean, this is sincerely Prince Harry and Meghan.
We don't care.
America doesn't care about you.”
The year 2024 hasn't been kind to Harry and Meghan thus far.
First, they were notably absent from the guest list for Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster's upcoming wedding to Olivia Henson.
The Suits reunion at the Golden Globe Awards also didn't include Markle, further adding to their recent string of disappointments.
To make matters worse, Joe Coy, the host of the 2024 Golden Globes Awards, openly referred to the couple as “grifters” and insinuated that they had been paid millions of dollars for doing nothing.
The scathing remark was made on national television, leaving Harry and Meghan in an uncomfortable position.
In another blow to Harry's pride, he was snubbed from an official book celebrating the most notable and best graduates from Sandhurst Military Academy.
While Prince William received a mention, Harry's absence was certainly felt.
The troubles continue for the Markle family as well.
Samantha Markle's defamation lawsuit against Meghan is set to have a tentative trial date in November 2024.
Samantha alleges that Meghan defamed her during a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 and is seeking $75,000 in damages.
The trial is expected to span five days, adding to the mounting legal battles the couple is facing.
It seems that karma may be catching up to Harry and Meghan.
With no friends, no family, and a dwindling Hollywood presence, their once-glamorous lives are spiraling downward.
The future looks uncertain for the couple as they struggle to regain their footing and escape the constant scrutiny they face.
In conclusion, Andrew Shultz's playful jabs at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle highlight the shifting dynamics in Montecito.
As he celebrates his own marriage and newfound status, the Sussexes find themselves facing a series of setbacks and public scrutiny.
