According to royal expert Tom Bauer, Meghan needs to reconsider her image and refrain from relying on her royal connections.
Bauer, who recently published his book titled “Revenge, Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors,” pointed out that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are rapidly depleting their royal status through excessive use.
During an interview with Palace Confidential host Jo Elvin, he expressed concern about Meghan's habit of constantly playing the royal card, citing an incident where she introduced herself as “Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex” while campaigning for women's maternity pay.
Bauer believes that such behavior may not sit well with voters during an election for Congress or the Senate.
He emphasized the need for the couple to redefine their public image, as their current approach is unsustainable.
Bauer's remarks were prompted by Meghan's recent attempt to garner support for paid family leave by reaching out to Republican senators.
In response to this development, Express.co.uk conducted a poll, which ran from August 3 to August 8, asking readers whether Harry and Meghan should continue using their royal status.
Out of the staggering 18,422 participants, an overwhelming majority of 97% (17,864 individuals) answered in the affirmative, stating that the couple should abandon their royal connections.
Only 3% (507 people) disagreed, while a mere 51 individuals were uncertain.
The comments section accompanying the article was flooded with opinions from readers, who overwhelmingly advocated for Harry and Meghan to renounce their titles and status.
One reader, using the username “lessee,” remarked that they should have stopped using their titles long ago.
Another reader, “marty650ssa,” suggested a complete severance of ties between the royal family and Harry and Meghan Markle.
Similarly, “janetk1958” expressed the belief that the couple should indeed relinquish their royal titles.
“nsyanki” argued against the couple pretending to be something they voluntarily left behind, while “peace266” cautioned against allowing them to exploit their titles for fame, status, and wealth.
“petiteprintemps” echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that the Queen should have either stripped them of their titles long ago or prohibited their use.
In a separate development, it has been revealed that Prince Harry was deeply shocked upon discovering that he and Meghan were effectively being erased from the royal family by Queen Elizabeth.
This claim is made by royal author Tom Bower in his newly published book, “Revenge, Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors.”
