ATX TV Festival Shuns Meghan Markle from Suits Reunion, Attempts to Secure Zoom Appearance

The ATX TV Festival has just made an exciting announcement: they will be hosting a reunion for the cast and creatives of the hit show Suits in Austin, Texas, from May 30th to June 2nd next year.

However, one notable absence from the guest list is .

Despite Suits becoming a summer sensation after all nine seasons were added to Netflix, Meghan won't be joining the reunion.

On Monday, the ATX TV Festival revealed that their 2024 lineup will include a retrospective panel featuring the show's creators and cast members, such as Aaron Korsh, Patrick J Adams, Sarah Rafferty, and Julia Hill.

Upon learning that she was not invited, Meghan approached her agency, WME, in an attempt to secure a slot.

She expressed her preference for an in-person appearance, especially since her husband had recently been in the Austin area.

However, her agency informed her that the only option available was to make cameos via Zoom.

One can't help but wonder how Meghan will make her presence felt.

Will she appear as a special guest, popping out for a brief five minutes to answer a few scripted questions before disappearing once again?

The anticipation is high.

Aside from the Suits reunion, the ATX TV Festival has other exciting offerings in store for attendees.

They will feature a retrospective panel for the series “Halt and Catch Fire,” with creators Christopher Cantwell and Christopher C Rogers, executive producers Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein, and the talented Scoot McNary.

Additionally, there will be panels with showrunner Graham Yost of “CeeLo” and executive producer Jessica Rhodes of “Station Eleven.”

More programming details will be announced closer to the event.

Confirmed panelists already include David Hudgens, showrunner of “FBI Most Wanted,” Graham Yost, showrunner of “CeeLo,” and Jessica Rhodes, executive producer of “Black Mirror.”

The reunion of the Suits cast and creatives will mark five years since the series finale.

Creator Aaron Korsh and cast members Patrick J Adams, Sarah Rafferty, and Julia Hill are confirmed to attend, with the possibility of more announcements in the future.

The reason behind Meghan's absence from the reunion is her status as a supporting actor.

It seems she is not keen on sharing the spotlight and microphone, which we know can be challenging for her.

As there are other actors from Suits involved, she would not be the sole focus of attention.

Opinions about the reunion vary among Suits fans.

One individual shared a humorous anecdote, stating that while watching Peacock, an ad promoting upcoming shows appeared, featuring everyone from Suits except Meghan.

They quipped that Meghan would only consider attending such a convention if she were generously compensated.

Another person expressed skepticism, claiming that Suits lacks the cultural impact and universal adoration necessary to generate significant interest in a reunion.

They compared it to iconic shows like Friends, Fresh Prince, and X-Files, which garnered worldwide anticipation for their reunions or revivals.

According to this viewpoint, Suits was merely a B-grade cable show that gained attention only because one of its stars began dating a member of the royal family.
