Archie Mountbatten-Windsor Makes First Official Appearance with Parents
Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, the son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, made his first official engagement appearance today.
The royal couple, who have always been protective of their son's privacy, decided it was the perfect moment to introduce him to the world.
In an online post, they jokingly referred to the occasion as “Archie meets the Arch,” as Meghan cradled her baby in a loving embrace and proudly showed him to the cameras.
Prince Harry and Meghan had hoped that Archie would join them on their first tour as a family, and meeting Archbishop Tutu provided them with the ideal opportunity.
The Archbishop, an old friend of Harry's and a veteran of the anti-apartheid movement at 87 years old, was thoroughly entertained by the five-month-old.
As his father beamed with pride, Harry shared updates on Archie's progress.
Despite being destined to grow up as one of the most photographed children in the world, Archie seemed unaffected by the presence of cameras.
Unlike other members of the royal family, Archie does not hold any royal title.
