Archie and Lilibet to Miss King Charles’ Coronation, Thanks to Princess Anne

and , the grandchildren of Iwai, will not be attending their grandfather's coronation, and it is all because of Princess Anne.

Following a precedent set by Princess Anne during her mother's coronation in 1953, and will not be present at the upcoming ceremony.

In a few months' time, will be crowned, and while some of his five grandchildren are expected to be in attendance, Archie and Lilibet will not be among them.

The roles for Prince George, , and have been announced, but it is widely believed that Prince Harry's children will not be present.

This decision stems from a long-standing tradition dating back to II's coronation, which states that young children who may find it difficult to sit still during the event should not be in attendance.

Princess Anne herself did not attend her mother's coronation in 1953 due to this custom.

At that time, King Charles was eligible to attend at the age of four and a half, while Princess Anne, only two years old, was not allowed to participate.

This could serve as an important clue suggesting that young royals below a certain age should not be featured in such ceremonies.

As King Charles Iwai is the next monarch, it may have been even more crucial for him to be present at his own coronation despite his youth.

Unlike King Charles, Archie's presence at the coronation holds less significance as he is sixth in line to the throne and unlikely to ever become king.

While sources claim that King Charles desires Prince Harry's presence at the coronation, it is possible that Prince Harry and may choose not to attend the event.

Rumors suggest that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are considering staying in California to avoid the media frenzy and attention that their presence in the UK would attract.

However, the couple managed to keep a low profile during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in the summer of 2022.

This may indicate their intention to enjoy the upcoming King's Day festivities in a similar manner.

Additionally, due to reported conflicts and fallout from the Oprah Winfrey interview and the couple's Netflix docuseries, Harry and Meghan, they may prefer to avoid certain family members.

It is possible that the couple will decide to celebrate their son's birthday elsewhere and stay away from the UK during the coronation.

Until an official confirmation is made, the press can only speculate on the family's attendance at this momentous event.
