Another American Dynasty Joins the Anti-Sussexes Movement: Meghan Breaks Down as Michael Bloomberg’s Daughter Rejects Collaboration
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's popularity in the United States seems to be dwindling as yet another prominent American family voices their disdain for the couple.
Following Rockefeller heiress Kayla's criticism of Meghan, billionaire and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's daughter, Georgina Bloomberg, has now revealed that her family firmly stands against the Sussexes.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com at the Rescue Dogs Rock NYC Cocktails for Canines event in New York, Georgina expressed her skepticism about the Sussexes' ability to achieve philanthropic success in the US, particularly within her family.
When asked if she would consider partnering with the Archibald Foundation, Harry and Meghan's charitable organization, Georgina promptly dismissed the idea, acknowledging that her mother would never forgive her for such an association.
Georgina's mother, Susan Brown, who is British, raised her children in a traditional British manner and passed down her personal dislike of the Duchess of Sussex.
When questioned about her mother's stance on the Sussexes, Georgina emphatically confirmed that she is indeed anti-Sussex.
While many Americans initially showed support for Meghan and Harry, Georgina highlighted that her mother had reservations about their relationship from the very beginning.
Interestingly, Georgina's billionaire father, Michael, who served as the mayor of New York City for three terms, had met Prince Harry in 2008 during a private conversation about the royal's sensible charity.
However, this encounter did little to change his family's negative perception of the Sussexes, especially concerning his ex-wife Susan, who hails from Yorkshire.
Michael, who co-founded the financial information and media company Bloomberg LP and is estimated to be worth $94 billion, is heavily involved in philanthropy.
His organization, Bloomberg Philanthropies, reportedly donated around $1.6 billion in 2022 alone.
In contrast, Meghan and Harry's Archival Foundation, established after their departure from the royal family, has raised over $13 million, with $3 million going towards charitable causes.
Georgina, who is engaged to investment banker Justin Waterman, has followed in her father's philanthropic footsteps by focusing on animal rights through her charity, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC.
She aims to raise awareness about the growing number of homeless animals in shelters and on the streets.
Georgina believes that these animals, often euthanized due to homelessness, deserve a chance to become beloved family pets and not be labeled as damaged goods.
Georgina's recent comments about Meghan and Harry echo sentiments expressed by Kayla Rockefeller, another scion of a prominent American dynasty.
Last month, Kayla stated that Meghan is now seen as too controversial by many Americans, making her an unsuitable choice as a model for her jewelry brand.
This rejection stems from the perception that Meghan is a contentious figure.
As the Sussexes continue to face criticism and opposition from influential figures, it remains to be seen how this will impact their future endeavors in the United States.
While some may still support them, the growing chorus of disapproval suggests that their path to success in the US may face significant obstacles.
