Harry and Meghan’s Attendance at King’s Coronation Raises Speculation: Will Meghan’s Absence Cause Tension?
According to Palace Insider Paul Burrell, Prince Harry has been invited to attend the King's coronation in London on May 6th.
However, Meghan Markle will not be present, as claimed by the late Princess Diana's former butler.
The couple had previously acknowledged receiving an invitation but had not confirmed their attendance.
A spokesperson stated that their decision would not be disclosed at this time.
If Harry and Meghan were to attend, it would undoubtedly be uncomfortable for them, particularly given the couple's recent negative comments.
Mr. Burrell believes that Meghan may not have the courage or strength to face Harry's family, whom she has criticized.
He further suggested that Meghan had informed Harry that she would not be able to accompany him to the event.
Mr. Burrell also highlighted the potential difficulty for Harry, as he would have to encounter Camilla, the Queen Consort, at the coronation.
In his memoir, Harry had previously expressed his opposition to Charles marrying Camilla, although he ultimately accepted her into the family.
Mr. Burrell advised the Sussexes to remain in America after distancing themselves from the royal family.
Interestingly, the coronation falls on May 6th, which also happens to be their son Archie's fourth birthday.
Royal expert Charles Ray proposed that this could serve as a convenient excuse for Meghan to skip the event and celebrate with their son instead.
It is worth noting that Harry and Meghan's last visit to the UK was for the late Queen's funeral in September 2022, and they have since been residing in California with their children.
The news of Meghan's absence from the coronation raises questions about potential tensions between her and the royal family.
