Piers Morgan Slams Harry and Meghan for Receiving TV Award Nomination

Piers Morgan, the outspoken television personality, has once again voiced his criticism of and .

Taking to Twitter, Morgan sarcastically congratulated the couple on their recent nomination for the Hollywood Critics Association TV Award for their series, Harry and Meghan.

He wrote, “‘Many congratulations to Meghan and Harry on being nominated for an award for trashing their families on TV.

Truly heartwarming.”

Morgan's tweet sparked a wave of backlash from Twitter users, with many questioning the couple's deservingness of the nomination.

One user tweeted, “‘Please let anyone win, but I'm sorry, they're going to hate me, but I have to be honest.”

Another user expressed, “‘Please don't let Harry and Meghan earn it.

This series is bad.

They're just whiners pretending they're attacking her privacy and contradict him themselves.

That's all.

And now what?'”

Criticism of the couple's Netflix docuseries, Harry and Meghan, continued as another user accused it of being fake.

They alleged, “Never did I see a work of such deception posing as reality, or dramatic music and footage from other people being chased by the paparazzi insinuating it was them, and a third person in the room to photograph their togetherness.

Fake, fake, fake.”

It is important to note that Harry and are not nominees for any Emmy Awards, where nominations and winners are determined by the votes of over 22,000 members.

The Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards, on the other hand, have a much smaller number of qualified voters.

This led to comparisons between the two award bodies, suggesting that Harry and Meghan's show may have contained more fiction than non-fiction.

Further accusations were made, claiming that the couple used their PR tactics to secure the nomination.

One commenter pointed out, “Do you notice under this other categories voted have not pushed their propaganda PR to comment saying they should win, yet it seems Harry and Meghan have.

They show little respect for the other categories.

They can't even see why they are so considered toxic.”

Echoing these sentiments, another Twitter user criticized the show's portrayal of reality, stating, “Harry and Meghan was full of fiction.

Even if you disregard their lies about the royal family, one cannot say the footage they used of paps hounding other people including Michael Cohen as if they were the ones being hounded is non-fiction.”

Another user questioned the show's nomination for non-fiction, asking, “How on earth can a badly rated show be nominated for any award?”

In a recent blow to the couple, it was revealed that their Netflix docuseries did not receive nominations for the Primetime Emmy Awards 2023.

This comes after their $20 million deal with Spotify was terminated last month, leading to speculation about the future of their $98 million deal with Netflix.

The snub from the Emmy Awards may have further dampened the spirits of the Sussexes during an already challenging time.

Sally Baker, a senior therapist and relationship expert, shared her insights on what the couple should do moving forward to establish themselves professionally.

She advised, “Doubters and haters are going to hate and doubt, and will use their omission from the Emmy Awards after making the shortlist to further damn Meghan and Harry's creative work.

Had they won, they'd be accused of being more shoo-ins.”

Baker concluded by urging the couple to show determination and earn their professional stripes to silence the dissenters.
