William and Catherine's message simply stated, “Wishing Archie a very happy second birthday today.”

Archie, who was born at the exclusive Portland Hospital in central London on May 6, 2019, has spent most of his life outside of his home country.

The family relocated to Canada and then the US after the Sussexes stepped down from their senior royal roles.

Last year, on his first birthday, Harry and Meghan shared a heartwarming video of Meghan reading a book to Archie as he sat on her lap.

Throughout the past 12 months, Archie has made only rare appearances, including a black and white video clip released in March, showing him strolling along a beach with his parents and their pet dog, Guy.

Despite the distance and the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Archie has maintained a strong connection with his great-grandmother, II.

The Queen has enjoyed being on video calls with her great-grandson during the lockdown.

On one particular Zoom call held to celebrate the Queen's birthday, she commented that Archie had inherited his father's red hair, according to The Times.

Prince Harry also spoke about the bond between the Queen and Archie during an interview with James Corden.

He mentioned that when his grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, was alive, both grandparents would join Zoom calls and witness Archie's playful antics.

Prince Harry also shared a heartwarming story involving his son, his grandmother, and a special gift.

When asked what he wanted for Christmas, Archie requested a waffle maker, and the Queen promptly sent one.

Prince Harry revealed that they all enjoy mixing up their orders with yogurt, jam, berries, honey, and syrup.

And whenever Archie wakes up, he is quick to ask for waffles.

For his second birthday, Archie is set to have a virtual celebration with the Queen and his cousins, according to royal expert Katie Nicholl.

She predicts that Harry and Meghan will arrange Zoom calls with family members, including Prince Charles, , and their children, to extend their birthday wishes.

Katie also emphasized Harry's desire for his children to have a close bond with their cousins, but acknowledged that it may be challenging given the circumstances.

Nevertheless, she believes Harry will go to great lengths to make Archie's birthday a memorable one, just as his late mother, , did for him and his brother.

As Archie turns two, the Royal Family continues to shower him with love and affection, bridging the physical distance through technology and ensuring that he feels the warmth of his royal lineage on this special day.
