Meghan Markle Accused of Exploiting Charities for Personal Gain
In a recent revelation, Meghan Markle has been accused of engaging in questionable practices to benefit herself.
According to an anonymous post on Crazy Days and Nights, Markle allegedly identifies thriving but lesser-known charities, promotes them on her website, and encourages people to donate through her own charity.
Not only does she take a portion of the donations for processing, but she also manipulates the situation to appear as the largest donor to these charities.
This news has not surprised royal fans, who claim that this is how the couple has always operated, even going so far as to purchase awards for themselves.
Critics have voiced their concerns over the lack of transparency in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's philanthropic endeavors.
One individual commented, “The Harkles [referring to Harry and Meghan] make grand pledges, like the supposed million-dollar pledge to women in need last week, but there is little evidence of actual donations.”
Another remarked, “They do a lot of virtue signaling, but it seems they are more interested in appearances than genuine charitable contributions.”
The controversy surrounding Markle deepened when it was revealed that Archwell, the charity founded by the couple, had partnered with the Ving project.
This news coincided with the release of Valentin Lowe's book, “Courtiers,” on October 6, 2022.
The Harry Markle blog exposed the collaboration between Ving and Archwell, raising questions about the motives behind the partnership.
Some speculate that Archwell aims to target a young and impressionable audience, using Spotify and Archetypes as bait.
By capturing their data, Archwell can potentially recruit them as followers, enticing them with the promise of a $1,000 grant for someone they know.
Critics argue that this partnership may be a data mining exercise disguised as an attempt to engage teenagers and collect their personal information.
Meanwhile, one of the charities championed by Meghan Markle, One Young World, is now under investigation.
The charity commission launched a probe into the organization shortly after portraits of Meghan and Prince Harry were published at the charity's annual summit in Manchester in September.
One Young World describes itself as a global forum for young leaders and gained significant attention thanks to Meghan, who became one of its counselors in 2014.
However, concerns have been raised about the exorbitant salaries and benefits received by senior executives at the charity.
The chief executive of One Young World, Kate Robertson, reportedly received a staggering £440,000 pay package for the 18-month period ending in June 2021.
Despite the pandemic severely impacting the organization's revenue streams, Robertson's daughter, Ella McKay, who serves as one of the charity's managing directors, enjoyed a £194,000 pay and benefits package during the same period.
These eye-watering figures have prompted the charity commission to intervene and investigate the matter further.
