Glamorous Model Cousin of Prince William and Harry Ties the Knot in Mountaintop Wedding
Lady Amelia Spencer, the niece of the late Princess Diana, recently got married in a stunning mountaintop wedding ceremony.
After 14 years of dating, Amelia and her long-term boyfriend Greg Mallett exchanged vows near Cape Town in South Africa.
Amelia is the daughter of Charles Spencer, Diana's younger brother, and his former wife Victoria Lockwood.
She has a twin sister named Lady Elisa Spencer, an older sister named Lady Kitty Spencer, and a younger brother named Louis Spencer, who holds the title Viscount Orthorp.
While many family members were present to celebrate Amelia's big day, including Elisa, Kitty, and their younger half-brother Samuel Aitken, it appears that their father, Earl Spencer, was not in attendance.
Notably, Prince William and Prince Harry were also not mentioned as being present at the nuptials.
The court circular revealed that William had a meeting in his role as President of the Earthshot Prize on the same day.
Interestingly, Amelia did attend William's wedding to Catherine at Westminster Abbey in 2011, accompanied by her sisters.
However, she was noticeably absent from Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018.
This raises questions about the relationship between the younger Spencers and the royal brothers.
Amelia's wedding comes just over a year after her older sister Kitty made headlines with her own marriage to wealthy businessman Michael Lewis in Italy.
Harry and Meghan were not invited to Kitty's three-day wedding celebration, and they did not publicly congratulate her.
The documentary about Harry and Meghan's experiences suggests that they hold the Spencer family in high regard, even more so than the Queen.
They allegedly leaked information that Diana's sisters were present at their son Archie's christening, using them to create the impression of having support from Harry's UK family.
So why the apparent cold shoulder towards the younger Spencers?
Could it be that Meghan is isolating Harry from his family to such an extent that even the Spencers are kept at a distance?
Reportedly, Harry and Meghan seated the Spencers in less prominent seats at their own wedding, preventing them from having a clear view of the ceremony.
In contrast, William and Catherine gave the Spencers front-row seats and warmly greeted their uncle and aunts before the ceremony.
This stark difference in treatment suggests that William values the Spencers' presence more than Harry and Meghan do.
Author Tom Bauer discusses the Spencer family's perspective in his book Revenge.
According to Bauer, Diana's siblings—Jane, Sarah, and Charles—were shocked by Meghan's self-serving nature.
Despite their good intentions, they were cast aside as if they were in the wrong.
They were perceived as being hateful towards Harry's soulmate.
Bauer even mentions a story about William appealing to Earl Spencer for help, indicating that if Harry wouldn't listen to his paternal family, he might listen to his maternal relatives.
Bauer also highlights Meghan's ability to push Harry's emotional buttons, demanding that he release a statement comparing her to Diana.
However, the Spencers saw through Meghan's intentions and quickly realized that she was not what she seemed.
It can be assumed that the Spencer family attended the wedding to show support for Harry, despite their concerns about the future of his marriage.
They understood that the longer this charade continued, the more damaging it would be.
The Spencer family had a clear understanding of the situation and were well aware of the challenges ahead.
