Archbishop Justin Welby’s Decision Causes Controversy in Meg’s Coronation Plan

In a surprising turn of events, Archbishop Justin Welby has sparked controversy by removing the mention of Sussex from the Book of Common Prayer for ' coronation.

This decision has left , in particular, feeling frustrated and upset.

The recent publication of the book by Lambeth Palace, which includes prayers for the royal family, has only added fuel to the fire.

The Book of Common Prayer, a significant liturgical text, underwent alterations on May 3, 2023, as directed by the King himself through a Royal Warrant.

The revised forms of prayers now use the term “Queen ” instead of “ the Queen consort.”

These changes were to be implemented from May 6, 2023, onwards.

With these modifications, the prayer for the Royal Family in the Book of Common Prayer will now read as follows: “Almighty God, the Fountain of All Goodness, we humbly beseech Thee to bless Queen Camilla, William Prince of Wales, the Princess of Wales, and all the Royal Family, endue them with Thy Holy Spirit, enrich them with Thy heavenly grace, prosper them with all happiness, and bring them to Thine everlasting Kingdom, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.”

Furthermore, it has come to light that , fifth in line to the throne, will have a special role in ' coronation.

His attendance at the dress rehearsal at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday has been confirmed.

The young prince, accompanied by his father and brother Prince George, arrived at the event.

Notably, displayed none of his usual playful behavior, opting to look away from the cameras.

Prince Louis previously made headlines during the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee in June 2022, where he stole the spotlight with his mischievous antics.

On that occasion, he even managed to upstage his mother, .

However, his sister, , has consistently exhibited exemplary behavior during public outings, often correcting her brothers.

Both Princess Charlotte and Prince George conducted themselves impeccably at their great-grandmother's funeral in September 2022, according to fellow attendee Mark Tewksbury.

In addition to these developments, Lambeth Palace has released the liturgy for King Charles III's coronation, titled “To Serve.”

This theme reflects the monarch's commitment to serving God and the people, as well as acknowledging the king and queen's decades of public service.

The liturgy, authorized by the Archbishop of Canterbury, draws on ancient texts and ceremonial elements while incorporating contemporary values and hopes for the future.

The new liturgy, commissioned by Archbishop Justin Welby, focuses on the Christian teachings of loving service to others, which are central to the character of the monarchy today.

Accompanying the liturgy is a commentary that explains the Christian meaning and symbolism behind key elements of the service.

The Archbishop worked closely with King Charles III and the government to ensure that the constitutional aspects of the ceremony were appropriately represented.

This year's coronation service will introduce several new elements that emphasize the theme of serving others and recognize the diverse communities that contribute to the nation.

For the first time, members of other faith traditions will actively participate in the service, reflecting the inclusive nature of modern Britain.

While the removal of Sussex from the Book of Common Prayer has caused a stir, the preparations for King Charles III's coronation continue.

The event promises to be a significant milestone in British history, celebrating the monarchy's enduring traditions while embracing the values of a contemporary society.
