Childminder Accused of Being Planted by Meghan Markle’s PR Team Denies Claims
A childminder who complimented Meghan Markle on her beauty outside Windsor Castle has denied allegations that she was planted there by the Duchess of Sussex's PR team.
Isabelle Charters, 25, was among the mourners waiting on the long walk in Windsor last Tuesday, September 13th, when she had a brief interaction with Ms. Markle.
In a video she filmed, Charters can be seen standing next to Emile Kazak, 14, who gives Meghan a hug as she arrives.
However, Charters has been left shocked after being accused on social media of being paid by Meghan Markle's team to be at that exact spot.
Various claims have emerged online, suggesting that Charters was strategically placed so that Meghan's team could easily find her.
Some even speculated that Charters and Meghan were old friends from the Invictus Games.
Additionally, Charters was wrongly accused of being Kazak's mother.
In response, Charters posted the video on TikTok, where it garnered 30 million views, to clarify the situation.
She stated, “A lot of you might have seen the viral video going around at the moment, that I posted of myself and the girl standing next to me having an interaction with Meghan.
This interaction was really up close and personal.
The girl next to me did end up hugging Meghan, and a lot of fake stories have risen from this video.”
Charters, a recent graduate who worked as a childminder, emphasized that she is not associated with the girl who hugged Meghan and had never met her before.
They were merely strangers standing next to each other by chance.
Charters further explained, “We did end up bonding over the fact we were both really excited to see Meghan.
Originally we didn't know she was going to be there.
It was just William and Kate at first.
So when they said Meghan and Harry were going to come, I think out of the people around us we were the two that were the most excited by it.”
Addressing the accusations, Charters expressed disbelief at the false information circulating online.
She clarified that she was not the girl's mother, nor was she paid by Meghan's PR team to be there.
Charters also mentioned that some claimed she knew Meghan from the Invictus Games and even referred to a body language expert who suggested she looked like an actor.
However, Charters wanted to emphasize the authenticity of her experience with Meghan, stating, “I wanted to show that the experience and interaction that we had with Meghan was really lovely and genuine.
And she was so kind to us, even though it was short, it was really sweet.
Don't believe everything you read online.”
Emile Kazak, the teenager who hugged Meghan, spoke to CNN about her motivation behind the gesture.
She explained that she wanted to show the royal that she was still liked by the British people.
Kazak recounted the moment, saying, “We were just waiting for her to come, and she came near me and asked my name and how my day was, how long I was waiting.
And I asked her if I could have a hug, and she hugged me back.
It was quite an amazing moment.
I'm still shaking now.”
Kazak expressed her desire to offer a warm welcome to Meghan, especially after recent events, and shared her joy in seeing both princes reunited.
While Charters and Kazak received support from many, there were still those who questioned the authenticity of the encounter.
One social media user posted a photo of Charters alongside a lookalike woman from the Invictus Games, insinuating that the interaction was prearranged.
Another user questioned the amount of money the pair may have been paid by Harry and Meghan.
Despite these speculations, Charters and Kazak stand by their assertion that their interaction with Meghan was genuine and unplanned.
