Sussex’s Decision on Montecito During US Visit Leaves Many in Shock

and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have made a significant decision regarding their upcoming US tour.

According to royal expert Neil Sean, the couple will not be staying with and in their California mansion during their visit in 2022.

This news has left many people surprised and speculating about the reasons behind this choice.

As 's environmental initiative, the Earthshot Prize, will hold its second ceremony in the United States, the Cambridges are scheduled to visit multiple states.

However, Neil Sean emphasized that there are several factors that prevent them from being hosted by the Sussexes in Montecito.

The debate is already underway as to whether the Duke and Duchess will make a call to the lovely place called Montecito, which is the home of Harry and Meghan.

Mr. Sean jokingly questioned the practicality of sharing a bathroom or using the kitchen appliances during their stay.

But he quickly shifted the focus to the real issue at hand – security concerns.

Mr. Sean clarified that the decision is primarily related to security and not a result of any rift within the royal family.

He explained that the Cambridges could not stay at the Montecito residence due to security reasons.

Additionally, the Queen's recent concern for Prince William's safety, advising him against traveling in helicopters with his young family, might have influenced this decision as well.

Sources within the royal household also admit that the Montecito home of and Meghan does not meet the security standards required for the Cambridges' visit.

Moreover, the differing security teams and requirements between the two couples would create logistical challenges.

Jonathan Saccedotti, another royal expert, dismissed rumors of a visit, describing it as a lose-lose situation.

He pointed out the complexities involved and the difficulties in finding a suitable solution.

In October, the Duke of Cambridge expressed his excitement about hosting the Earthshot Prize ceremony in the USA.

He emphasized the urgency of spreading the message of optimism and action to address environmental challenges.

In addition to this news, a recent study reveals that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have played a crucial role in maintaining stability within the monarchy during a challenging year.

The combination of the COVID pandemic, an aging generation of royals, and the loss of senior members has resulted in a significant decrease in royal engagements.

In 2021, the royal family fulfilled 2,065 duties, which is a 35% increase compared to 2020 but only 59.5% of the 2019 tally.

However, Prince William stands out as the only royal who completed more duties this year than in 2019, with 227 engagements.

The Duchess of Cambridge also demonstrated her commitment by attending 115 events, just one fewer than the previous year.

Canadian researcher Patricia Treble praised William and Kate for their consistent level of engagement, highlighting their resilience amidst the challenges faced by the other senior royals during the pandemic.

While their overall numbers haven't fluctuated significantly, this stability is noteworthy and deserving of attention.

The decision of the Cambridges to not stay with the Sussexes in Montecito has raised eyebrows and sparked discussions about the dynamics within the royal family.

As they prepare for their US visit in 2022, the focus will undoubtedly be on their environmental initiative and the message of hope they aim to convey through the Earthshot Prize.

Despite the complexities and security concerns, Prince William and Kate continue to navigate their roles as working royals with dedication and determination.
