Despite their decision to step back from their royal duties in 2020, the Duke and Duchess have continued to partake in this tradition.

Last year, they unveiled their own Christmas card, featuring a rare photo of themselves with their firstborn, two-year-old .

Now, as Christmas approaches, royal enthusiasts are hopeful that the Sussexes will release a new card for 2021, finally revealing a photo of Lilibet.

In other royal news, , the only daughter of and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, may be bestowed with a unique title in the future.

As third in line to the throne, and with her parents expected to ascend to the positions of King and Queen, Charlotte's place in the line of succession grants her the potential for a prestigious royal title.

Typically, when members of the royal family marry, they receive a new title from the reigning monarch.

However, could be granted an exceptional royal title due to her status as 's only daughter, regardless of her marital status.

As the future daughter of the King, Princess Charlotte may anticipate inheriting a specific royal title that reflects her position.

The title of “Princess Royal” is traditionally bestowed upon the eldest daughter of the British Sovereign.

Originally introduced in the 1600s to mirror the French royal title of Madame Royale, the title must be granted by the monarch themselves and is not automatically given to the King or Queen's eldest daughter.

Currently, the Princess Royal title is held by Princess Anne, the only daughter of II and Prince Philip.

Prior to Princess Anne, the title was held by Princess Mary, sister of King George VI.

According to Duncan Larcombe, a royal expert and author of “, The Inside Story,” the Princess Royal title is typically conferred upon the eldest daughter of the reigning monarch and remains for life.

Therefore, Princess Charlotte will have to wait until the current Princess Royal passes away before she can potentially receive this prestigious title.

Princess Anne herself had to wait until 1987, 35 years into II's reign, to be granted the title, despite it being vacant since 1965.

In contrast, Lilibet did not receive a royal title at birth.

Nevertheless, she still holds a place in the line of succession for the British throne.

As of July 26, the official Royal Succession website updated Lilibet's position to 8th in line, following her father Harry and older brother , who are currently 6th and 7th in line, respectively.

With Christmas approaching, hopes are high that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will unveil a new Christmas card featuring their daughter Lilibet, offering the world its first glimpse of the little princess.
