Princess Anne’s Busy Week Leads to Loss of Harry’s Inheritance
Princess Anne, known for her tireless work ethic, has once again demonstrated her commitment to public service.
The Princess Royal recently embarked on a series of engagements in Gloucester, solidifying her reputation as the hardest working member of the royal family.
Last year alone, Princess Anne completed an impressive 387 official engagements, closely followed by her elder brother, Prince Charles, with 385.
Kicking off the new year with great determination, Princess Anne wasted no time and began her official duties on January 6th.
However, it was this week that proved particularly productive for the Princess.
On Tuesday, she visited the Mirror Shower Factory in Cheltenham, which was celebrating its centenary.
The following day, she made a stop at the Chamwell Centre Charity, a leisure and hydrotherapy destination for disabled individuals.
During her visit, Princess Anne unveiled new facilities that will benefit both children and adults with disabilities.
Later, she paid a visit to Racing Welfare, a charity supporting those working in the British racing and breeding industry, to learn about mental health support for racing staff.
The royal family's social media accounts were quick to announce Princess Anne's engagements, prompting an outpouring of admiration from royal fans.
One Twitter user, Pat, commented on the Princess's hard work, acknowledging that she often goes unrecognized.
Another fan, David, expressed his delight, stating, “Absolutely love this.
Fantastic job, Ann!”
Instagram user Boomer added, “It's always great to see HRH in action, and this time she is opening an extremely valuable facility.”
In contrast to Princess Anne's dedication, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been stripped of their royal duties.
Buckingham Palace confirmed that the couple will not be returning to work as members of the royal family following their relocation to America.
In a statement released on Friday, the palace announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be relinquishing their honorary military appointments and royal patronages.
The Queen, after discussions with the Duke, expressed that stepping away from the work of the royal family made it impossible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service.
The decision to remove Harry and Meghan from their roles comes after a 12-month review of their duties following their announcement to step back as senior members of the British royal family last January.
Since then, the couple has secured exclusive deals with Netflix and Spotify, and they recently shared the news of Meghan's pregnancy with their second child.
As a result of their departure, several military, Commonwealth, and charitable associations will revert to the Queen.
These include the Royal Marines, RAF Huntington, Royal Navy Small Ships and Diving, the Queen's Commonwealth Trust, the Rugby Football Union, the Rugby Football League, the Royal National Theatre, and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
A spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle emphasized their continued commitment to duty and service, stating that they remain dedicated to supporting the organizations they have represented, regardless of their official roles.
They also highlighted the universal nature of service, emphasizing that everyone can contribute to making a positive impact in the world.
