Prince Harry’s Polo Documentary: A Royal Misstep in the Streaming World

has found himself at the center of yet another controversy, this time thanks to his latest Netflix project—a polo documentary that has drawn sharp criticism from both viewers and former friends.

The Duke of Sussex's foray into the world of streaming has been anything but smooth, with many questioning the direction he has taken in recent years.

The documentary, which was intended to showcase the sport of polo, has ironically featured very little of himself.

Instead, it has shifted its focus to Timmy Dutta, a young player who is heavily funded by his affluent father.

This unexpected pivot has left audiences bewildered, as they tuned in expecting royal drama only to find themselves watching a narrative centered around wealthy kids on horseback.

Tommy Seven, a former polo partner of Harry and captain of the England polo team, expressed his bewilderment at the documentary's content.

He noted that Harry doesn't appear until the series nears its conclusion, raising eyebrows among those familiar with his storied past in the sport.

Seven remarked on the close ties between their families, reminiscing about how Harry once kept his ponies at his grandfather's polo stud and even spent part of his gap year at the Seven family ranch in Argentina.

Yet, all that history was conspicuously absent from the documentary.

When asked why Harry chose to overlook such a significant chapter of his life, Seven's response was blunt—he simply had no idea.

This lack of engagement with his past suggests that Harry may have distanced himself from his roots, leaving fans and friends alike scratching their heads.

The reviews for the documentary have been harsh, with outlets like the Daily Mail describing it as “plodding and boring,” while The Guardian humorously labeled it an “unintentionally hilarious profile of the world's stupidest sport.”

To add insult to injury, the documentary failed to break into Netflix's top 10 rankings in any country, including the United States, where Harry and Meghan have been striving to establish their brand.

Seven did not hold back in his critique, stating that Harry's return to England would make him look foolish.

His remarks underscore a more profound reality—the bridges Harry once had with his former circle are now irreparably damaged.

Even the Duke of Westminster has publicly stated that Harry and Meghan were not invited to his wedding, a clear sign of their estrangement from high society.

The situation in Canada appears equally precarious for the Duke.

With the potential rise of Pierre Poilievre, taxpayer-funded escapades for the Sussexes might become a thing of the past.

It's astonishing to witness how far Harry has fallen from grace.

Once adored by the public and revered among his royal peers, he now faces ridicule from former friends and rejection from aristocrats.

The polo documentary is merely the latest in a string of misfires for Harry.

Following the infamous Oprah interview and the cringe-inducing Netflix docuseries, along with his memoir “Spare,” each project seemed aimed at airing grievances against the royal family.

However, they have instead tarnished Harry's image rather than enhancing it.

Even Tommy Seven, known for his gentlemanly demeanor, couldn't resist pointing out the evident isolation Harry now faces.

Gone are the days of polo ponies and royal invitations; instead, Harry finds himself with dwindling goodwill and a Netflix catalog filled with unfavorable critiques.

At this juncture, Harry doesn't need to set foot in England to appear foolish—his actions from the comfort of his California home have already painted that picture.

Between tone-deaf documentaries and ongoing family disputes, he has unwittingly transformed into a figure of global mockery.
