Furious Royal Watchers Threaten Oscars Boycott Over Meghan and Harry Rumors

Royal enthusiasts are expressing their discontent and threatening to boycott the Oscars amid rumors that and may be presenting an award at the esteemed ceremony.

The speculations arose after an insider informed The Sun that their appearance would undoubtedly create a buzz this year, potentially allowing them to deliver a passionate speech on a topic of their choosing, most likely Ukraine.

Show producers Will Packer and Shayla Cowen have already secured an impressive lineup of A-list celebrities to grace the stage, and adding Harry and Meghan to the mix would be the cherry on top.

The Twitterverse immediately reacted to these claims, with one user named Linda Levine declaring, “If they present an award, I'm done with the Oscars.”

Philip, another user, concurred, stating, “Oscars credibility down the toilet.

Would suggest a red button and an audience, sponsorship and advertising crash.

Any product advertised and/or company sponsorship of the Oscars to be boycotted.”

Meanwhile, Melissa Gregoire expressed her disappointment, saying, “I will really be disappointed if these two are presenters at the Academy Awards.

Why?

Because they will see it as a sign that they have been truly embraced by A-listers, their most favorite people who espouse their ideals, and who will finally allow them into their intimate circles.”

Ginger Jones chimed in, doubting the rumors, and compared the couple to previous presenters such as Rita Moreno, Jane Fonda, Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, Michelle Obama, Sean Connery, Sidney Poitier, and Al Pacino, suggesting that they are not in the same league.

Adding fuel to the fire, has been tipped for receiving an Oscar herself following reports that she and have been approached to present the Best Picture award at the star-studded event.

Royal commentator Richard Eden took to Twitter, referring to the couple's explosive interview with , and humorously suggested, “Some might say #Meghan deserves an Oscar of her own for that #Oprah performance.”

A US source also disclosed to The Sun that Harry and Meghan were initially approached two years ago for the ceremony but politely declined.

Although it remains uncertain, especially in light of recent publicity, it is highly unlikely that Harry will attend.

Scheduled for Sunday, March 27, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the Oscars will take place just two days before the memorial service for in London.

A source speaking to The Sun highlighted the complications surrounding Prince Harry's attendance at the memorial service, stating, “It would be seen as a final kick in the teeth for the Royal Family if he did.

He's too nervous to fly to London without police protection but happy to stand up in front of a huge live audience at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Not great optics.”

Consequently, Prince Harry confirmed that he will not be attending the memorial service at Westminster Abbey on March 29.

Since their departure from the British Royal Family two years ago, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have been actively building a new life for themselves in sunny California.

In October 2020, they established Archewel, a parent organization encompassing their non-profit foundation, audio studio, and production company.

This power couple has since inked exclusive deals with some of the world's largest platforms, solidifying their influence and impact.

While their projects continue to unfold, it remains uncertain whether Harry and Meghan will return to the UK this year to commemorate the Queen's remarkable 70-year reign.
