Sussex Breaks Free from Royals and Drops Titles
In a surprising move, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been advised to sever ties with their royal titles and make a clean break.
It has been alleged that the Royal family disapproved of the Sussexes using their Duke and Duchess titles to amass wealth through commercial ventures.
The couple stepped down as senior members of the Royal family last year and relocated to California.
Following their departure, Queen Elizabeth II stripped them of their HRH titles and removed them as patrons.
However, they were allowed to retain the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Now, Graham Smith, CEO of Republic, is urging them to completely detach themselves from these titles.
He argues that these titles were granted to them in order to carry out royal duties for the benefit of the country, which they are no longer doing.
Instead, they find themselves in a halfway position, partially connected to the Royal household while pursuing their own personal interests.
Smith believes that when they decided to step away, they should have completely severed ties and relinquished their titles.
The couple has faced criticism for allegedly capitalizing on the monarchy they once criticized as corrupt to the core.
While family members typically have each other's best interests at heart, it appears the same cannot be said for the Royal family.
According to a royal expert, Prince William is apprehensive about learning of Harry and Meghan's next business venture.
This comes after the couple secured multi-million dollar deals with Netflix and Spotify following their exit from the Royal family.
Duncan Larcombe, the author, suggests that the Sussexes are profiting from their royal connections every time they speak negatively about the Royal family and reveal details of their lives within palace walls.
Larcombe claims that William disapproves of their tactics to gain popularity and new deals, and may sever ties with them if they persist.
“By continually talking about the Royals, they're cashing in on the brand,” Larcombe asserts.
The question of what the couple will do next is one that Prince William dreads.
It was previously reported that Harry and Meghan signed a $150 million deal with Netflix in September, shortly after stepping back from their senior royal roles.
They then announced another multi-million dollar deal with Spotify in December to produce and host podcasts.
At the time of the Netflix announcement, Larcombe stated that Queen Elizabeth II was not in favor of Harry and Meghan's business venture, calling it potentially the biggest royal sellout in history.
The couple has transitioned from being full-time working royals to Hollywood producers.
And it seems they have no intention of slowing down, as Harry recently released a mental health series on Apple TV Plus with Oprah Winfrey titled “The Me You Can't See,” while Meghan published her first children's book, “The Bench,” using her title as the Duchess of Sussex.
These projects may further strain the couple's relationship with the royal family, as they attempt to distance themselves from royal life while still capitalizing on their royal brand.
Larcombe urges Harry and Meghan to seek new business opportunities that are unrelated to their royal connections.
He believes they must find a way to carry out their work in Los Angeles without relying on their royal titles.
Larcombe candidly warns that if they continue to focus solely on selling their royal brand, their relationship with William may be irreparably damaged.
“If they spend their whole career selling that Royal brand, they'll never speak to William again,” he cautions.
In conclusion, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been advised to break free from their royal titles and sever ties with the Royal family.
Their use of their titles for personal gain through commercial ventures has drawn criticism.
Prince William is reportedly concerned about their next business move, as they continue to profit from their royal connections.
