Zara Tindall Breaks Royal Norms with Bold Move, Contrasting Meghan’s Children

Zara Tindall, the daughter of , is making waves in the royal family by upholding a long-standing tradition, in stark contrast to 's children who are not following suit.

Recently, Zara Tindall was spotted alongside her brother's former wife, Audun Phillips, as they both participated in the 10th edition of the ISPS Handa Mike Tindall Celebrity Golf Day at the Belfry Golf Club in Sutton Coldfield.

This joint effort by Zara and Audun aimed to raise funds for two charities, the Cure Parkinson's Trust and the Matt Hampson Foundation, which supports young individuals with sports-related injuries.

Zara Tindall took to social media to acknowledge the outstanding contribution made by Audun and herself, referring to them as the day's most valuable players.

This gesture highlights their unwavering dedication to the cause.

Interestingly, Zara has previously expressed her desire for her children, Mia, Lena, and Lucas, to engage in a specific sport, but it's neither rugby nor horse riding.

In a guest appearance on the IMG Golf's Opinion Matters podcast, Zara revealed that all three of her children have shown remarkable skill in swinging a golf club.

Golf holds a significant place of interest within the royal family and has garnered substantial support from charitable organizations and communities alike.

Going back to the 18th century, King William IV played a crucial role in establishing and elevating golf-related societies.

The Royal Perth Golfing Society in Scotland received noble status under his patronage, and he also became the patron of the Society of St. Andrew's Golfers, which later evolved into the prestigious Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews.

Of particular note is Zara's daughter, Mia Tindall, who has developed a keen interest in embracing the sport.

Zara herself has been a vocal advocate for the inclusion of female members within the professional golf community.

This stance marks a significant departure for the Royal Golf Club, an institution that has excluded women from membership for over 260 years.

However, in light of changing attitudes and values, the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews is planning to address this issue.

A forthcoming vote by its members will determine whether women will be admitted, and it is anticipated that there will be considerable support for this change.

It is worth mentioning that there are approximately 64 golf clubs worldwide that hold British royal status.

While several countries have received this distinction, including England, Scotland, Australia, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Wales, and the Channel Islands, only a select few possess truly exceptional golf courses.

Among the recent additions to this list are the Marinska-Luzern Golf Club in the Czech Republic, which was frequented by Edward VII, and the Royal Mayfair in Edmonton, Canada.

As the younger generation of the British monarchy contemplates their involvement in golf, the potential embrace of the sport by or even his wife would undoubtedly captivate enthusiasts.

Considering the deep-rooted connection of the royal family with St. Andrews, the possibility of 's wife becoming the Royal and Ancient Golf Club's first female captain would be a remarkable and captivating narrative.
