Cold Reception for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

and faced a chilly reception at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, with one member of the royal family expressing their disdain for Prince Charles' second son.

Zara Tindall, the Queen's granddaughter, married her husband, Mike Tindall, in 2011.

Known for his championship-winning rugby career, broken noses, and hard drinking, Mike Tindall is not the typical image one would associate with a member of the British royal family.

However, he has proven that he is not afraid to speak his mind, especially when it comes to family disputes.

In June 2022, and returned to the United Kingdom for the first time since stepping down as working members of the royal family in 2020.

While their departure was seen by some as liberating, others in the British public and royal family reportedly viewed it negatively, dubbing it “Megxit.”

The controversy escalated when the couple gave a tell-all interview with , where they accused the royal family of racism and lack of support.

They also claimed that and Prince Charles, both future kings of the United Kingdom, felt trapped in their roles, stating, “This is just how it is.

This is how it's meant to be.

You can't change it.”

Unsurprisingly, the royal family was allegedly unhappy with Harry and Meghan's comments, resulting in a frosty homecoming for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

According to an insider who spoke to Hollywood Life, the Sussexes were cautiously excited about reuniting with the rest of the royal family but were aware of the scrutiny they would face.

The source stated, “…they know all eyes will be on them, which is always stressful, but at the same time, it's going to be a chance for them to show the world that they're still very much a part of the family.

The last thing they want to do is take away attention from the Queen.

They're going to honor her and celebrate her.”

However, at the Jubilee celebrations, Meghan and Harry were denied access to the Buckingham Palace balcony and were not allowed to capture a photograph of meeting her great-granddaughter, Mountbatten-Windsor.

Their meeting with the monarch reportedly lasted only 15 minutes.

The couple's first public appearance with the royal family since stepping down from their duties took place at St. Paul's Cathedral, where they attended a service of thanksgiving.

During the event, cameras captured them engaging in a conversation with Zara Tindall, while Mike seemed uncomfortable and deliberately avoided interacting with them.

Body language expert Judy James observed that Zara appeared happy to chat, while Mike appeared awkward.

She noted, “…in the end, he talks to Viscount Linley, who turns his own back on Harry, cutting the two men off from Zara's conversation with Harry.”

Lady Colin Campbell, during an interview with GB News, commented on the cold treatment Harry and Meghan received, stating, “…Mike Tyndall avoided them like the plague.

He made absolutely sure he didn't catch their eye.”

After the event, Mike Tyndall reportedly expressed his true feelings about the couple to a fellow guest at a different gathering.

Express reported that during a reception following the Platinum Party at Buckingham Palace, Tyndall referred to Prince Harry as a bastard.

The remark was overheard by the outlet's source.

It is worth noting that Harry and Meghan did not attend the Platinum Party concert alongside the rest of the royal family.

They were seated directly behind and her children, and although boos could be heard in some videos, there were also reports of cheering for Meghan and Harry outside of St. Paul's Cathedral, suggesting that not everyone has turned against them.

While the reception may have been cold, it seems that there is still some work to be done to convince Mike Tyndall of Harry and Meghan's place in the royal family.

As for the rest of the world, the story continues to unfold.

Stay tuned for more updates on the royal family.
