Lady Sarah Frances Elizabeth Chaddow: A Royal Journey

Lady Sarah Frances Elizabeth Chaddow, formerly known as Lady Sarah Frances Elizabeth Armstrong Jones, was born on May 1st, 1964, at Kensington Palace in London.

As the niece of II through her mother, Princess Margaret, she holds a special place in the royal family.

Lady Sarah is also the youngest grandchild of King George VI and , the Queen Mother.

Her older brother, David Armstrong Jones, became the new Earl of Snowdon after their father's passing.

Additionally, Lady Sarah has three half-siblings from her father's previous relationships.

Her christening took place on July 13, 1964, at the Private Chapel in Buckingham Palace.

Lady Sarah's godfathers were David Fane, 15th Earl of Westmoreland, and family friend Anthony Barton.

Her godmothers included Prudence, Lady Penn, Marigold Bridgman, and Jane Stevens, who served as one of Princess Margaret's ladies in waiting.

Lady Sarah and her brother were primarily raised by their nanny, Verona Sumner, in the nursery of Kensington Palace, Apartment 1A.

However, their parents played an active role in their upbringing, ensuring a hands-on approach.

Lady Sarah's parents, especially her father, Anthony, nurtured her artistic talents.

They encouraged her creativity and taught her how to build things, fostering her artistic sensibilities.

Anthony had been hired as a photographer for the film production of “A Passage to India,” and Lady Sarah found work as an intern in the wardrobe department, thanks to John Natchbull, 7th Baron Bradbourne, the film's producer.

Lady Sarah has always shared a close bond with her cousin, Prince Charles.

She had the honor of being one of 's bridesmaids at their wedding and was chosen as one of 's godmothers.

Lady Sarah is also the godmother to Lady Rose Gilman and Lady Louise Windsor.

During her trip to India in the 1980s, Lady Sarah met actor and artist Daniel Chaddo, who was part of the film crew for the romantic drama “Heat and Dust.”

Eventually, Chaddo proposed to her with a vintage cluster ring, and they tied the knot on July 14, 1994, at St. Stephen's, Walbrook, in the city of London.

Reverend Chad Vera officiated the ceremony, which was attended by approximately 200 guests, including members of the royal family.

Lady Sarah and Daniel Chaddo are blessed with two sons, Arthur and Samuel.

Even after her return from India, Lady Sarah felt a strong desire to continue her education.

She enrolled at Middlesex Polytechnic, which later became Middlesex University in 1992.

As a professional painter, she has exhibited her artwork at the Redfern Gallery since 1995, using her maiden name.

Lady Sarah's talents have been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Windsor & Newton Prize in 1988 and the Kreswick Landscape Prize in 1990.

Since 2004, Lady Sarah has served as the vice president of the Royal Ballet, following in the footsteps of her mother, Princess Margaret, who was also a patron of the renowned dance company.

Lady Sarah continues to contribute to the arts and uphold her family's legacy with grace and dedication.
