Takes on Important Role in Jordan Royal Wedding, Meg Fuming with Anger

The royal family made a grand appearance at the highly-anticipated Jordanian royal wedding, with stepping in to replace as an attendant counsellor.

Joining forces with Kate and William, the Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Beatrice attended the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa al-Saif in Amman, Jordan.

Despite being ninth in line for the British throne, Princess Beatrice was promoted to one of the four counsellors of state after the Queen's demise.

According to the royal family's website, the counsellors of state consist of the sovereign's spouse and the next four individuals in the line of succession who are over 21 years old.

This means that Prince William, , , and Princess Beatrice currently hold the position.

However, as Prince Harry and are no longer working royals, Charles has requested that his siblings, and , be allowed to take on the role.

As a result, Princess Beatrice has become the newest member of this esteemed group.

In a statement read by Lord Parker of Minsmere in the House of Lords, the King expressed that the addition of extra counsellors would ensure the smooth continuation of public affairs during his absence, particularly when he is engaged in official duties abroad.

The counsellors of state are entrusted with carrying out various royal functions specified in the letter's patent.

These responsibilities include attending privy council meetings, signing routine documents, and receiving credentials from new ambassadors to the court of St. James's.

Furthermore, the counsellors serve as special advisors and consultants to the secretary on significant foreign policy matters, providing valuable guidance.

They also engage in international negotiations and consultations, undertaking special assignments as required.

The presence of Princess Beatrice at the Jordan royal wedding not only highlights her growing role within the royal family but also signifies the importance of diplomatic relations between the British monarchy and Jordan.

As she continues to fulfill her duties as a counsellor of state, Princess Beatrice exemplifies the dedication and commitment expected from a member of the royal family.
