More recently, the arrival of her third child, Lucas Tindall, sidelined her from competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which were postponed to 2021 because of the pandemic.
The equestrian legacy within Zara's family is remarkable.
Her mother, Princess Anne, showcased her resilience by competing in the 1976 Montreal Olympics, where she continued despite suffering a fall that resulted in a cracked vertebra.
Meanwhile, her father, Captain Mark Phillips, boasts an impressive collection of gold medals from the 1972 Munich and 1988 Seoul Games in team eventing.
