Royal Couple Tease New Mental Health Film Targeting Farming Community

and Princess Kate have unveiled a sneak peek of an upcoming film in honor of Mental Health Awareness Week.

The royal duo, known for their advocacy in the mental health field, have directed their focus towards the farming community in this latest project.

In a brief 14-second trailer shared on their social media platforms, the Prince and Princess of Wales announced the release of a special film featuring Sam Stables from We Are Farming Minds and The Amazing Farmer Will.

The film, set at Sam's farm in Hereford, delves into discussions surrounding mental health within the farming sector, emphasizing the importance of seeking support and highlighting the initiatives of the Duchy of Cornwall's Mental Health Strategy.

Scheduled for release on YouTube at 12.30pm GMT today, the film captures the essence of the conversations held during William and Kate's visit to Sam's farm last September, where they also launched the mental health strategy of the Duchy.

Collaborating with Sam, the Duchy aims to broaden the impact of his charitable endeavors.

Although absent from the film itself, Kate emphasized that both she and William have consistently been vocal advocates for mental health awareness, stressing its parity with physical well-being.

Their joint initiative, the Heads Together campaign, initiated in 2017, united eight charity partners under a singular message, encouraging open dialogue on mental health issues in the UK and facilitating increased access to support services.

The couple's steadfast commitment to mental health has garnered praise from loyal supporters of the royal family.

Admirers commended their efforts in addressing mental health challenges within the farming community, applauding the initiative for breaking down barriers and combatting stigma associated with mental health issues.

One supporter expressed, “Breaking barriers and reducing stigma,” while another acknowledged the unique struggles faced by those in rural and remote farming communities, underscoring the importance of raising awareness.
