Following the dissolution of the British Parliament on May 30 in preparation for the upcoming general election on July 4, members are scheduled to reconvene on July 9 for the swearing-in ceremony.

Subsequently, the House of Lords has indicated that the next state opening of Parliament is anticipated to take place on July 17, coinciding with the Queen's birthday.

The ceremonial opening of Parliament marks the commencement of the parliamentary year, a tradition dating back to the 14th century in which the reigning monarch plays a pivotal role in the proceedings.

King Charles continued this age-old custom during his inaugural opening ceremony in November 2023, accompanied by Queen Camilla.

The royal couple embarked on a regal procession from Buckingham Palace to the Palace of Westminster in London, riding in a horse-drawn carriage.

This exquisite piece, embellished with 1,333 diamonds and steeped in history, is known as George IV's state coronet, created for King George IV's coronation in 1820.

The diamond tiara holds immense significance, having been worn by every British monarch, be it Queen or consort, since the era of King George IV.

The iconic tiara, featuring a design symbolizing the national emblems of England, Ireland, and Scotland, has long been associated with Queen Elizabeth.
