Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Arrive Late to Thanksgiving Service at St Paul’s Cathedral

and caused a stir when they arrived 50 minutes late to the procession leading up to the service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral last Friday.

The royal couple joined other members of the royal family, including the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as they gathered for the celebration in London.

As they made their way through the church hand in hand, Meghan was seen smiling while Harry appeared to be biting his lip at times.

However, according to royal expert Lady Colin Campbell, their tardiness was not accidental.

In an interview with GB News, Lady Campbell claimed that Meghan and Harry intentionally arrived late to avoid being grouped with the “third tier royals.”

Lady Campbell explained that the processions are organized based on rank, with the least important individuals going first and the most important going last.

Realizing they had been placed with the less significant royals, Meghan and Harry decided to miss their designated slot by purposely arriving late.

This event marked the first time that Harry and Meghan were seen alongside other members of the royal family since they stepped down from their roles as senior royals and moved to the United States two years ago.

Despite their late arrival, the crowd cheered for the couple as they made their entrance, with Meghan and Harry smiling and waving at onlookers.

Seated in the second row from the front, Harry found himself next to Jack Brooksbank, 's husband, while Meghan sat beside Lady Sarah Chateau, Princess Margaret's daughter.

To reach their seats, the couple had to squeeze past their cousins and her husband Edoardo Moppeli-Mozzi, as well as Eugenie and her husband, who were already seated.

During the service, Harry was spotted with his mouth open, seemingly enjoying a joke with another royal seated across the aisle.

Beatrice, who was a few seats away, also appeared to be grinning in the same direction.

Prior to the Thanksgiving service, Harry and Meghan attended the Trooping Celebrations at Horse Guards on Thursday.

However, they chose to stay out of the spotlight and remained inside the Duke of Wellington's former office, along with more than 30 other family members.

The service at St Paul's Cathedral aimed to honor public service, with 400 individuals who have received honors, including NHS and key workers recognized for their contributions during the pandemic, invited to attend.

The event drew a crowd of over 2,000 people, including Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who faced boos from the crowd outside, as well as Cabinet Ministers, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, and former Prime Ministers.

Outside the cathedral, hundreds of people gathered, some donning Union flag hats and others hanging flags and bunting over the railings.

Meanwhile, Kate, wearing a pale yellow Amelia Wickstead dress and a Philip Treacy hat, walked in the main procession alongside William, Charles, and .

In another development, it has been reported that and missed an important lunch with the family during the Platinum Jubilee weekend.

However, it is said that they did not engage in private meetings with the family, as their sole purpose for the visit was to be present for the monarch.

Zara Tindall, daughter of , and her husband Mike Tindall were also in attendance at the gala.
