Disney CEO Denies Prince Harry’s Request for VIP Tickets to D23 Fan Event Following Meghan’s Mockery at NAACP Awards

Disney recently revealed the prestigious lineup of 14 Legends to be honored at the upcoming D23 fan event in August 2024.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the list of honorees was disclosed on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, featuring renowned personalities such as Miley Cyrus from Hannah Montana and Harrison Ford from Indiana Jones and Star Wars.

Notably, Angela Bassett, who earned an Oscar nomination for her role in the Marvel movie Black Panther Wakanda Forever in 2022, also made it to the esteemed list.

In a statement, Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, emphasized that being recognized as a Disney Legend represents the highest accolade bestowed by the company, reserved for individuals whose exceptional talents and accomplishments have secured them a lasting place in Disney's history.

He expressed excitement about celebrating the remarkable contributions of the 14 honorees at D23, the ultimate Disney fan event.

Scheduled to take place from August 9th to August 11th, 2024, in Anaheim, California, Disney's annual fan extravaganza, D23, is highly anticipated by fans worldwide.

Amidst the buzz surrounding the event, rumors surfaced regarding 's attempt to secure VIP tickets for himself and , who reportedly plans to grace the red carpet for the launch of a new brand.

While gaining support from Hollywood celebrities could potentially elevate their brand, not every event may be welcoming to Meghan.

's only known connection to the entertainment industry seems to be through Disney's CEO, Bob Iger.

Previously, Harry had approached Iger to consider offering Meghan a voiceover role in the Disney film “The Elephant.”

However, sources suggest that Iger distanced himself from Harry's Invictus Games sponsorship last year, making it challenging for Meghan and Harry to attend Disney-related events in the future.

These developments come in the wake of reports from a source named Desi Stars Girls Fun Club, revealing an incident where singer Usher Raymond IV seemingly mocked during the 55th NAACP Image Awards.

The event, which aimed to celebrate black excellence in entertainment, took an unexpected turn during Usher's acceptance speech for Outstanding Entertainer of the Year.

As Usher took the stage at the Dolby Theatre, the audience anticipated a moment of recognition for his illustrious career marked by chart-topping hits and electrifying performances.

However, the atmosphere shifted when Usher deviated from his prepared speech.

With a playful demeanor, he alluded to “Yacht Rock,” a genre associated with opulence, as a metaphor for what some perceived as Markle's detachment from the struggles championed by the NAACP.

The controversial remarks made by Usher quickly sparked a social media frenzy, drawing attention to the dynamics surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan's public image.

Notably, the couple had previously appeared at the NAACP Image Awards in 2022 to present an award to Dr. Sophia Noble, a distinguished scholar and advocate recognized for her work at the UCLA Center for Critical Internet Inquiry.
