Prince George and Princess Charlotte Surprise at Queen’s Funeral Procession

Prince George IX and VII, the eldest children of the Prince and Princess of Wales, made a surprising appearance in 's official funeral procession.

Despite their reputation for angelic behavior, the royal children occasionally misbehave with each other.

This was evident at the funeral of their great-grandmother, as reported by My London.

Last month, and Prince George accompanied their mother to bid their final farewell to II at the royal funeral and committal service.

After the emotional send-off, the young siblings joined their parents at Wellington Arch to witness the transfer of the Queen's casket to the State Hearse before its journey to Windsor.

During this time, lip-reader Jeremy Freeman noticed an incident between George and Charlotte.

As the entourage waited behind and senior royals, George attempted to pinch his sister, causing her to cry out in pain.

Some members of the royal family, including , found the amusing exchange between the young royals entertaining, according to My London.

However, Queen Consort seemed annoyed by the incident.

She frowned and pointed at Charlotte before turning to Catherine, expressing her disapproval.

This brief exchange was captured on live television, and observant viewers immediately noticed the disagreement between Charlotte and George.

Social media users commented on the incident, with one Twitter user noting, “Looks like Prince George and Princess Charlotte have a small disagreement.

Look at Queen Consort .”

Another user speculated about Charlotte's words, asking, “Why did Charlotte say when she turned back around it was wow?

Ow!

Cow!”

According to other lip-readers, this was not the only cute interaction between the siblings at Wellington Arch.

At one point, Charlotte was seen mouthing something to George, which was decoded as “You need to bow!”

It appeared that Charlotte was reminding her brother of royal protocol, instructing him to bow as the coffin passed by.

George, dressed in a navy blue suit, nodded in response.

Despite the debate surrounding their behavior, parenting experts praised Catherine's handling of her two eldest children during the state funeral.

Angela Karanja, creator of Raising Remarkable Teenagers and a parenting expert, commended Catherine for prioritizing connection before correction.

She highlighted moments of connection between Catherine and Charlotte, noting how Catherine whispered something to cheer up her nervous daughter at the beginning of the event.

Karanja emphasized the importance of positive parenting skills, stating that addressing inappropriate behavior should come after establishing a strong bond with children.

She also praised Catherine for correcting Charlotte calmly and discreetly in a public setting.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte are no strangers to attending public royal occasions, some of which are televised.

They have consistently displayed good behavior.

It is reported that next year, alongside their parents, they will attend the coronation of III on May 6, 2023.

As second and third in line to the succession, their anticipated presence at the coronation is seen as preparation for their future roles as senior royals.

In previous events, such as the late Sovereign's Platinum Jubilee in June, the three royal siblings were photographed waving to fans.

They also joined the Queen and other senior royals on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to witness a spectacular fly-past featuring over 70 aircraft.

The behavior of Prince George and Princess Charlotte at Queen Elizabeth's funeral procession may have caused a stir, but it also highlighted their normalcy as children.

Despite their royal status, they experience sibling squabbles like any other youngsters.

Their upbringing, guided by Catherine's positive parenting approach, continues to shape them into poised and well-behaved members of the royal family.
